Easy to use, good quality plastic
I used these to make party favors for my son's 9th birthday. When it arrived, it was just in a clear, sealed bag with no instructions on how to use it, but I have used many molds in the past and figured it would be just as simple.I bought the melting chocolates from Michael's craft store. It took 50 of the melting chocolate discs to completely fill the remote mold. I simply microwaved the chocolates on 50% for 1 minute, then 50% for another 30 seconds and it was ready to be poured in.My first one I left out on the counter for about 40 minutes and when I tried to remove the chocolate, it broke. Not a big deal...it just wasn't ready to come out yet. I re-microwaved the same chocolates and went for round 2. :)When you pour in the chocolate, make sure to give the tray a good tap on the counter (about 3-4 times) to get the bubbles to rise to the top. Then, wait about a minute for them all to surface. I took a chopstick and just swirled the chocolate on the top to pop all the bubbles and then ran a paper towel around the outside edge to make sure the edges would be clean. I popped it into the fridge for about 30 minutes and when I brought it back out, it just slid right out of the mold. It looked fantastic!!These are not small molds - the remote one is about 6 inches long and is deep!! This is probably equivalent to about 1 Hershey bar and a half - so, excellent for a good party favor!!!I am glad that I purchased these!! My son and his friends will be so excited!

Was great for my son's video game themed birthday party
Was great for my son's video game themed birthday party. Directions that came with it said to cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes then the chocolate piece would pop out. This was not my experience (and the reason I did not give this product the fifth star). My first effort broke in half and my second stuck to the buttons in the mold. However, I was using chocolate chips and not melting wafers. Once I got the hang of it, it was very easy. Here is what worked for me (I had to make them one at a time because I only bought one mold, I'd recommend buying more than one):Heat approx. 3/4 C chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp coconut oil (I only made the game controller and not the Grand Theft disc) in microwave for 40 seconds.Remove and stir (I did this in a glass measuring cup with a silicone spatula).Heat again in 10-20 second bursts, stirring between, until chocolate smoothly runs off of spatula.Pour in mold, then tap mold lightly on counter to bring air bubbles to surface.I then placed in the refrigerator to cool and once cooled I transferred to the freezer to set. Once it was completely set, the chocolate released easily from the mold.Using chocolate chips resulted in pieces that softened easily at room temp or to the touch of warm fingers. So I kept them refrigerated until ready to serve. They were a huge hit!

Big and shallow
It’s a lot bigger than you think it is! It’s the size of a real controller. In fact, it may have been created from a real one. I ordered it to use on a 6 inch cake and it was too big to place on top. The mold is also quite shallow so you really only get a 2D affect to the controller.

Game On!
Very easy to use. Just grabbed the melting chocolate from our local AC Moore, I used white chocolate for the buttons, milk chocolate for the controller and m&ms for directional button details. I read a few of the reviews before buys so I made sure to purchase 2 but when making 16 of them definitely wished I bought a couple more. But once the chocolate was in the molds I let it set in the freezer for about 20 minutes, pulled them out and put them in favor bags and sealed them close. This is a great product and the tweens thought they were the coolest and parents gave us an A+ rating in the party favor dept.

Game on, chocolate-lover!
When filled with milk chocolate, the neatest party favor EVER!!! My son had a game truck birthday party (**such a COOL party, so easy for the parents!**), and I was looking for a fun party favor to match the theme. (I'm so tired of all that junk that comes in random party favor packages, and I knew this would not go to waste!) Because I didn't give myself time to make them, I took the mold to a local "mom and pop" chocolate shop and asked them to make them. The price wasn't too bad, and I supported a small business. (Keep in mind, though, you'd be better off ordering a few molds, if you like this idea. Less time to make them this way.) The p.s. to the story is, ALL the kids loved them!! I put each one in clear cellophane, tied with a green ribbon, and off the sugared-up kids went!

A Great Sturdy Mold
It came out exactly as I was hoping! I was very nervous that the details wouldn't show and I don't usually use molds for anything but wanted to suprise my hubby for his birthday! He loves chocolate and games of course, he couldn't figure out how I did it and the look of childlike suprise and curiousity I got made me LOVE this product even more. I felt like a true professional and I did within only 10 minutes tops. I just melted some chocolate in a glass bowl over boiling water in a pot, poured it into the mold froze it and it came out so easily and didn't break apart. I highly reccomend this mold.

Perfect! Here are some tips...
Just like other reviews say, this works perfectly! Don't be fooled into thinking, wow, these are really shallow! They're not. They basically make a real-sized controller!!I purchased four of these and had to make about 18 molds. It's simple: double boil your favorite chocolate (no additional ingredients), pour into mold, cool in fridge 20 minutes and it will slide/drop out simply. If it doesn't come out easily, that's your clue it hasn't hardened enough. Another VERY important tip: take a chopstick and swirl the melted chocolate into the more detailed areas (e.g. Buttons) to make sure to get out all bubbles or it won't look perfect. That was KEY for me before I made about 3 or four mistakes. No problem, just re-melt and re-do!Great for a game truck party favor and parents will think you're some kind of Pinterest Wonder Woman!!

For gaming people
Bought this so that I could make my brother a PS4 cake for his birthday. He loved that it had a controller and a disc, made his cake more realistic looking. I was worried about the chocolate disc because of the hole in the middle, but that was the easiest to remove from the mold. Just set them in the freezer for a bit so that they pop out easier
