So during pregnancy I had really bad hyperpigmentation on my armpits, and this product lighten it up. And now I don’t have any hyperpigmentation. The Texture is more on that side, but honestly, I feel like that’s how our mask is supposed to feel. Highly recommend this product for anybody that suffers with hyperpigmentation!

I decided to do a bit of an experiment and use the mask for 20 mins once a day for 2 weeks. I used it every morning after cleansing because I use a retinoid at night. I would not recommend doing this with a new product just because you never know how it will react with your skin. For me, it was a chance I was willing to take.I think the mask is generally harmless. I am currently struggling with adult acne and I am dealing with a lot of redness and hyperpigmentation. The mask will not treat active break outs, I suspect that it could potentially be more irritating if you have active breakouts with sensitive skin. So I would recommended using it once active breakouts have been treated. After using it I do see a glow and my face generally feels very nice. I did not deal with irritation at any point, which was great because it is why I was originally hesitant to try the mask.It was very easy to apply it to my face, it spread like butter with the spatula. I would recommend using it on mostly dry skin. When you wash it off, the water is orange because of the turmeric. It doesn’t stain at all (I am a POC and i have olive skin), but I would still wipe your sink after using it to clean up the residue. Despite it being a clay mask, the mask was not overly tightening. I have used the Aztec clay mask before and that mask can get very tight when it dries, which I found to be more irritating. This one is much more tolerable.Personally I do not see myself repurchasing this product simply because it doesn’t really *wow* me. With the current state of my skin, it doesn’t stand out as a product. I rather invest in a mask that gears more towards hydration than brightening. Perhaps if someone who was dealing with just a few pimples and dark spots and/or has generally clear skin were to use this product then the results might be more notable. Otherwise, it really just is a mask to do if you want to indulge in self-care or want a temporary glow. I think the reviews that insinuate that this mask is miraculous in some way can be a bit misleading. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is extremely unstable so you really don’t get much of its benefits in products like these.Perhaps if I use it longer I could see better results. I am considering continuing the usage of the mask but reducing it to 2-3 times a week. I use topicals with actives and I don’t want to do too much on my skin. I plan on finishing the product.Bottom line: This is a good mask in that the ingredients are generally not irritating and it is something to do if you’re looking for a temporary glow. It will not transform your skin and it will not get rid of your hyperpigmentation and/or redness. I would not recommend this to a friend and I wouldn’t buy it again simply because the results weren’t remarkable. I rather spend my money on something else. However, if someone were to gift me this or I happen to have another jar of it then I wouldn’t mind using it again for funsies.

I love this face mask. I have sensitive skin and it does not cause any breakouts or skin irritations. After use it does leave your skin soft, smooth and with a nice glow.

Alright product. I’ve been using it three to four times a week for about a year now. I haven’t noticed any lightening, but it does make my skin soft and smooth and has evened out the skin. I was really wanting something to get rid of the dark spots and this is not the product.

I'm not a review person, but this product is really good, so decided to share my experience and maybe others can benefit. I had a large patch of dark spots caused by sunburn for 2 years, it got worse recently so I decided to seriously manage my skin condition and find an effective dark spot remover product. I tried several products in 2 weeks each with different typical effective ingredients inside, including an expensive known skincare brand with high technology formulated Vitamin C. Disappointingly, I have to say, most of them don't work as I expected, some even without a little bit of difference. I don't mean they are not good products, I just mean they don't work for me. Also, I don't quite buy the philosophy that a skincare product without effects after the initial 2-3 times application may work great for me after using a whole bottle. I also don't have a budget and time to spend on it. So I gave each max 2-3 days to try, if I don't see the difference, I will quit the product and try another one.Luckily I found 2 products that work for me at last, which means I can see the visible fading each time I use them. Among them, this Anna Rui turmeric clay mask works the best! The first time I tried it, I found nearly 1/4 part of my dark spot faded almost completely. Later every time I used it I also saw a big difference, although not as great as the first time, but also quite visible. I actually didn't use it every day, only 3 times a week at night when I do the regular face cleaning. Then I didn't use any night cream with dark spot removing ingredients, as I need to use other anti-aging products.My family also told me they noticed much of my black spots faded since I used the turmeric mask. Encouraged by the results, recently I also ordered the Turmeric serum of this brand for everyday use hoping to accelerate the process. Great I found the Anna Rui brand and its high-quality turmeric products that are helpful to remove my annoying accumulated dark spots! I also appreciate its reasonable price that most people can afford. My experience is not necessarily the big brand products can help, you have to try different choices to find the one that really works for you!

I love the green tea mask by the same company and thought I'd try the rose. It was more drying on my skin than the green tea one, which was a surprise. Also, the color was almost a shocking pink and not the delicate color in the photo, fyi.

My skin looked great after my first try! Recommend it!
