A very good kit for those with moderate experience.
There are plenty of photos so I won't add mine. The kit works as well as all the pictures and videos show. The only difficult part of the assembly for me was the surface mount LEDs. I'm 70 years old and those tiny pieces are a bit hard to work with. Some soldering experience is needed to get this assembled, due to the surface mount LEDs but the rest is quite simple. I was a bit surprised at the amount of energy put out by this small unit. Electronics has come a long way since I built a Tesla coil for a school project. This would be a good gift for curious budding scientists, it's easy enough for middle or high school children with a bit of supervision.

instructions are unreadable.
They must of found a printer from the 50s. And there is NO instructions. Your stuck looking at the worst black and white copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. What is there to learn from this kit? Nothing and the pictures instructions that are NOT readable don't even finish the project. So Im stuck with crap that I can't do anything with. $75 down the drain. People and companies that sell stuff like this for education or fun. These people are the problem with the world today. They take your money and crap on you for giving your money to them.

Great product.
I bought this for learning mixed with fun. The instructions are not clear but the diagram was excellent. I did have an issue with getting ot to work but after talking with joytech representative, who are quick to respond, I identified the issue and it works better than I had imagined. Is an excellent project for someone who has a little know how and interest in electronics. Look forward to other products from them. It does interfere with electronic signals as is stated. I managed to knock the signal out to my tv from twenty feet away, while it was operating.

Pretty cool little doohickey! Maybe a lil expensive
I had a good time assembling this kit, it took me probably about two hours. I've seen reviews saying that it's difficult, or that the instructions are unclear; that's not my experience. The instructions are actually pretty good for one of these Chinese DIY kits, with the expected broken English complicating them a bit but big, clear color photos of most steps to help out. There are a couple of points that are a little touchy but that's par for the course on these electronics kits, and all the more difficult stuff (ie the SMD parts) is pre-installed. I could see how it could be difficult if it's your first kit, in which case I would recommend starting with something a bit simpler and confined to a single board. The finished product is handsome looking but not that big (about eight inches tall), but not much smaller than I had expected. It produces a tiny arc at the tip that supposedly dances to music, but if it does I can't tell. I like the two attachments it came with, one 'iron windmill' that spins in a circle and one 'wreath', a thin wire that makes a more complex design as it whips around. So far the only lights I've managed to get to light up are the two little gas bulbs that it came with. The incandescent bulb it shipped with, plus a few LEDs I had floating around failed to light up. I haven't played with that too much yet though.Since it doesn't totally do what it advertises, I would say the kit is overpriced. But as a fun project to put together, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Nifty little "Arc speaker"
This project is an intermediate level electronics assembly. The instructions are adequate for those with previous experience doing this kind of thing. It has a schematic diagram & reference photos of how to orient the bipolar transistor & mosfet. Not recommended for beginners unless accompanied by someone experienced in electronics repair. BTW it uses a 2sc2078 for an oscillator for the coil & the mosfet modulates the amplitude of the coil input just like an AM transmitter. That same transistor is usef in HF transceiver final stage.

Beautiful little Tesla Coil kit!
The media could not be loaded. A big fan of Nicola Tesla. I really enjoyed assembling this coil project. All the information you need is provided, you just need some skills in hand before starting. The main grey area was concerning the 5 small resistors. If you look at the schematic, it shows you where they go. All the rest was just looking carefully at the pictures and having good soldering abilities. The music coming from the coil is the most amazing thing to me. Still trying to grasp that phenomenon.

Awful, do not buy
Extremely unclear instructions with missing steps and VERY important details left out. Very flimsy cheap parts, where the primary and secondary coil sit on there are little cardboard stands to hold a coil around the other. the wire does not bend and Extremely difficult to get together. I have some experience in this and was still difficult to work with. And lastly the size is not like it's shown, significantly smaller. Is about as tall as my hand. DO NOT BUY THIS! COMPLETE RIP OFF

Tragic indeed
Might be easy if you know what you’re doing, It didn’t come with any clear instructions and I couldn’t get it to work. Along with that the company takes weeks to get a response. I tried
