The people leaving the few negative reviews for this product must not be able to read and follow directions! Or perhaps they lack any level of common Sense by trying to vacuum a spot that's not completely dry with a vacuum that's not designed for w wet pickup. That's why there are wet-dry vacuums designed for what their name says:"Wet-dry vacuuming!Most household vacuum machines are not made for wet pickup and if one tried to use one for wet pickup problems are to be expected. Here is that common sense thing once again.I've found this product to be a big help with our puppy who has been a bit stubborn with the potty training program.I've found it only works well on a fresh wet spot. You can't skimp on the amount of product to use. The entire wet spot must be covered with the powder which you can immediately see starting to absorb the wet area. You must let the area dry completely before trying to vacuum the spot up. I've found that using the hand held wand works best on the dry spots using the end of the wand to break up any areas that he dried to a hard crust. I've had no problems with the dried product sticking to the carpet. Any dried areas have always broken easily and vacuumed up with minimal effort. Sometimes a slight white residue remains where the wet spot was, but this is easily fixed with a few passes with our regular household vacuum cleaner with a powered carpet brush. But the smell is gone. I always use an enzyme spray after cleaning up a puppy accident! It seems to stop any repeat accidents in the same spot!I've bought this item three times and will continue until our puppy finally gets with the potty training program!

Works like a charm. One down fall is that it doesn't vacuum up as easy as it should. I don't know if a bagged vacuum would do better, but my Dyson didn't pick it all up, it took several different vacuuming sessions to get it all up.

This product works very well. I would recommend you let it dry for several hours after putting it on the spot as it vacuums up easier and allows the product to completely soak up the urine. Have used this product for awhile now as i have an old dog who can no longer hold it as long as used to be able to, and it worth ever penny.The only complaint I have is that I purchased several at a time and one of the tops had been split open due to very poor packaging so when I opened the box it got all over. So open over the carpet so you can easily vacuum up if needed.

My dog is small with the result that his accidents are small ones. I used a whole can of urine dry before the spot was gone - after waiting the first 10 minutes nothing had been absorbed. An hour and a whole can of the stuff and we ended up with a dry spot. I would have liked to have known how much of the powder was considered adequate in order to work. The can just says "generous" and that proved all too true. For the sake of economy I guess I'll stick with the spray solutions, most of which are effective and far less costly per application. This product, purchased on Amazon, works fairly well but it just doesn't fit my budget.

This stuff is a waste of money. If you want your carpet to smell right just go ahead and hire a professional carpet cleaner.

Do NOT believe the favorable reviews for this lousy stuff. It may be true that it absorbs the urine, but within minutes, it hardens into a rock solid white slab, and cannot be vacuumed up. To remove it, you'll need a hammer and chisel, or perhaps a wire brush. Plus, it might even ruin your vacuum cleaner. After one application, this went right into the garbage. Simple Solutions does have other products (liquids) that require a bit more effort, but they work infinitely better. I was hoping for an easy fix, but I should have known...nothing is ever easy. Using this product was about ten times more work than just rubbing some vinegar in the spot and blotting it up with a towel. And biodegradable??? Like a cinder block.

With so many animals coming and going from my house one of them is bound to feel a bit territorial one day. While foam or liquid cleaners are great for getting that initial spot mopped up I hated having a liquid enzyme killer as it took a long time to dry and ensuring coverage was not fool proof. However, this product works fabulously. I know when I have covered the spot, waiting 15-20 minutes before vacuuming up is easy and I was surprised that neither the smell nor the dust was overwhelming.

Works pretty well. It doesn't take the urine smell completely out of carpet when an accident occurs, but it does a pretty fair job. I will purchase again in the future, and would probably recommend to others!
