I recommend!
This is a great little book to have in your scrub top. Easy to find different subjects due to the tabs. I wouldn't bother with this until MS1 if you are in nursing school. You will probably be able to read and understand this 3/4 of the way through med search one.I've passed both message one and two and there's still some items that I have to study on in there. It'll be great to freshen up on the ones that I've already learned though! Great for clinicals

I've been an ER RN for ~5 years. I know my stuff pretty well, but every now and then you just need to quickly recall a number, or an EKG reciprocal change, or a drip reference. This book is great. It's conveniently sized, great page finish, durable, etc. I have used it many times already. I will say it's probably not ONE HUNDRED percent accurate, but it gets you in the range and gets you started. I am careful while using it in the hospital, r/t hospital policy compliance etc... but a great quick reference. Does not have as much information on critical drips as I was hoping for, either! Luckily, there's blank note pages in the back!

As an undergraduate paramedic, I found this very essential to whom studying or already working in the emergency medical field for the following reasons:-1- Very comprehensive information regarding almost everything that may be encountered in the emergency medical field. It is true that most information is not mentioned in much details, but I think it is the sole purpose of this pocket guide. It is not a reference or textbook, it is a reminder/guide of information that could be forgotten or miss-retrieved.2-The information is very accessible, no need for much effort looking for a specific drug or information.3-The size is not too large to not be carriable. Which is very important, especially for paramedics.

Paramedic Student Recommended***Better than EMS Field Guide***
Got this for my boyfriend who is in Paramedic school. I bought him the EMS field guide too and he definitely recommended this one over the EMS one. It was more comprehensive and had certain lab values in it that is helpful to him. Also has formulas/equations and reference ranges in it to help determine cardiac output, MAP pressures, systemic vascular resistance and numerous other equations.**some of the med values are off, but those are usually determined by local protocols only and are only a recommended dosage in the book**His classmates were also impressed and wanted to know where he got it. He keeps it in his cargo pocket while on duty.

Great Quick Reference
This is super handy to have working the road as a quick reference. I'm giving 4 stars due to the plastic spiral holding it together breaking apart and having to replace with another one. This isn't a manufacturer defect just from wear and tear. Wish the spiraling was metal instead.

GET IT!!!
As a new nurse starting my career in a level 1 trauma center, this handy dandy spiral bound pocket book is perfect! I can easily and quickly look up specific stuff if I want an idea of something specific. It really helped with a few patients EKG strips that I had a hard time figuring out. It’s got so much information! I had a masters degree prepared nurse ask to look at it and she was blown away by the information and it’s quality! Highly recommend this!!

Very informative! All the basics of the ALS Emergency field guide plus critical care.
Great hand guide to have for those bits of information that seem to leave you in the most inopportune times and when GOOGLE is not available. I am a Critical Care Paramedic with over a decade of experience and still love to browse through this on my down time at the station to keep my skills sharp. Would recommend this book to any Paramedics or Nurses that work in a critical care setting, new or seasoned.

AWESOME PRODUCT
this book is awesome i carry it everyday as a Emt/Medic student has tons of information, one down side is the paper on the bottom is starting to peel and flake after approx 6-8 months of use. but besides that its a great tool to have and use, if not for your partner. i have shown 2 of my partners and they already want it. so i have to order 2 more.
