awesome lighting
I put them up in a very large room that we had fluorescent lights throughout and immediately brought the amount of electricity used down considerably. They are very bright and were super easy to install. I am very happy with them and the ease of use

It works
It was not made for my kitchen light application but I was able to adapt it. Works great.

Works - Tooks some work to get it to fit
This took some work to get it to fit. I had to remove the old bulb fittings, but I expected to do that. It is a little dimmer but probably close to the lumens advertised.

this is a really easy solution to replacing some ceiling lights around the home
Had to custom fit it to my fixtures, but was able to install LED for much less than the circular bulb cost to replace.

Defective LED Driver
1 out of 3 defective, switched out lights, but seems like LED Driver defective. Light just kept flashing. Other two worked great, good light.

Got a dud
Per the instructions you could wire it however you wanted. It had a blue and red wire. What it was going to had black and white. Went black and blue, red and white. Hooked it up, it started flickering, and then it died. Took it back apart and the LED control box thing smelled burnt. Says it’s 12W. Fan said it was 14W max so that shouldn’t have been the issue. LED control box is also quite large in comparison to the light, so if you decide to give this a chance keep that in mind. My suggestion is buyer beware.

Doesn't last very long (See update)
Hyperbole aside, these gave my ineffectual kitchen dome lamps new life.The kit consists of an LED driver (the small white box) 5 magnetic mounts. A wiring splice adapter and an aluminum ring of SMD LEDs.The conversion is as simple as disconnecting power from the lamp (fuse or circuit breaker) and removing the lamp from the ceiling. (usually 2 screws)Once in hand, the Edison socket is removed and you install the included wire adapter onto the wires from the ceiling that originally went into the socket. The other end of this is connected to the LED driver/AC to DC converter (small white box in the photo) and that is mounted WITH MAGNETS! to the inside of the dome lamp's base (assuming it's steel) and then this is connected to the aluminum ring of SMD LEDs which is also mounted to the lamp's base with magnets.That's it. Usually, there is no cutting or splicing needed, though you may want to consult a professional before undertaking to make sure there is no danger of a short.Once installed, the lamp's performance is very much improved. The light is more evenly radiated from the lamp and is much brighter than the single 14 watt CFL that was in there.I didn't know this kit even existed and I just took a chance in purchasing it and I'm not sorry.If I had a complaint (and it's not much of one) is that this could stand to be a bit better refined. It should also include directions or at least a website explaining it's install. But it's literally a 2 wire hookup and it doesn't much matter which wire goes where as the driver handles thatNow my kitchen doesn't have 4 dark spots in it. 360° of light.UPDATE: 9/13/2018I purchased 2 of these not quite 2 years ago. One died about 8 months ago and the second one died today. Apparently not great for the long term.
