Easy to assemble and clipped onto pool motor really easy; I should note this cover is plastic not sheet metal

Doesnt fit perfect but....
While the cover is fairly universal I feel it doesnt for exactly on the pump motor housing. Use caution in spreading the mounts when installing because most likely you will have to bend the item to fit as it is slightly undersized and the plastic could break. I dont feel that this cover could withstand even one good impact of any kind.With that being said this cover has stayed in place through torrential rain, wind, and blazing hot sun. My pump runs constantly during daylight hours and consistantly stays a neutral temperature by touch when using this cover. Without the cover and the black pump casing heats up immediately. I definitely feel that this cover is extending the life of my pump motor by keeping it cool and protecting it from the elements. I would recommend giving it a try and would get another one if this one should break.

Support brackets too small for large pump
No relevant thermal insulation to speak of, but it does provide shade of sorts for the pump motor. I had to ditch the provided support brackets because they were too small for my pump motor. The knockouts for the cabling were ok, but not an exact fit for my motor. It fits my setup ok, but only the motor and not any of the filter assembly.

Worked great, universal fit
Didnt even know about these until a pool group I was part of mentioned them. This easily fit my motor and the braces are moveable.

Durable and easy to put on.
This cover fit very well over the Doheny's Inground Pool Pro Swimming Pool Pump | 1.5 HP, 115V/230V, 97 GPM, Self-Priming. Ease of putting on. Seems durable enough to last as long as we need it to. Value for the money. Would recommend.

These pool pump covers are a little small for irrigation pump motors but help keep most sun and rain off.

Product made the sound worse not better
Product was not easy to install believe it or not. The panels according to the directions apply easily to the top by sliding into place within the slots on the top piece. However, they do not. I had to apply dish soap to act as a lubricant to hammer the panels in the slots.With the panels in I placed the assembled piece over the pump and it fit. However the sound was not dampened and it was actually made worse by the side panels vibrating on the sides of the pump.Total waste of money and has ZERO sound dampening capability.Used on a Hayward Super Pump 700 which fit but don't believe the reviews about sound dampening, it doesn't work.
