So I bought 2 7000 C3 reels for big fish like stripper and catfish
I've used about every size ABU GARCIA reels in the round type. I've got the 4600, 5500, 6500, 5600 size reels that are all at least 20-30 years old, and all I need to do is just wash any dirt out of them before I use them and of course lube them up. I always put new mono on after a couple of months if not in use, but if I'm using them then I respool new line on as needed. I was trying to find the Ecooda reels that is a size 30R, and 50R but was not able to locate them. So I bought 2 7000 C3 reels for big fish like stripper and catfish. Can't go wrong with a ABU GARCIA reels for most anything in fresh and saltwater!!!

Absolutely Amazing - Perfection
What a reel! Side by side against my friends c3 7000 Pro Rocket, same line, rods, etc. Both reels tuned and fine tuned, this one out performs the higher priced Pro Rocket. So unless you just want to spend extra money, have cute graphics; look no further! This is a real gem and really performs. Have caught several catfish between 10 and 30 pounds and the performance is flawless from casting to netting your catch! If you can get one, don't wait, get it!

it makes a foul noise when i cast
it makes a foul noise when i cast. talked to abu and they told m,e to oil it up and grease it up but did not work. The only thing that works is loosening up the two knobs in each side until it does not make noise any more. Should i return it? its been more than 30 days. sadly i did not take it out for a test till much after so i am screwed.

Haven't been able to get to use this awesome reel yet....but il give a full review once i get out on the Clearwater river this steel head fishing season..

Peace of junk
First time I used it it made a whirring sound. Did not cast like it should. Something inside is messed up. Usually this reel is smooth and a great product. I will return if possible

Great reel although my personal opinion is 6500 series is more manageable for a female

As expected, Chinese made, not as quiet and smooth as the older Sweedish made Ambassadeurs, but it WORKS ok.
