Worked perfectly.. 💪

So I had a pin anchor, and used a steel ring attached with string to the cleat. It never stayed. As the boat bounced up and down it would pull the anchor out. But with this, locked into position, even a wave lifted the boat up and pulled the anchor out, it would just stab back down into the sand and hold in place.

This has 304 or 440 stainless hardware in anchor clamping mechanism. This will rust in salt water if not thoroughly rinsed. I’d recommend applying CorrosionX or similar. Additionally, the o-rings will only work for a perfectly flat transom. Also, I don’t trust the included sheet metal screws on their own for securing this to an aluminum bay boat transom. 3M 5200 will do a better job sealing and add some security to the mounting. For mounting to really thin sheet metal, though bolting with fender washers on the inside or rivet nuts for blind mounting would work better.

I like them all is solid however the bushings inside not so much. Around the pool through mine handful of times have to call at the bank just to hold the back of the boat while it was beached I never did use the lock didn’t think I needed it. The bushing up top in the lock slid out of the bracket and I almost lost it. Maybe just a bad batch of glue or whatever they use to hold it in.

I haven't used the system yet so my review reflects my feeling of the quality of the product as it first appears and the timely delivery provided by the supplier. The delivery service actually rates 5 stars. The fit and finish, including welds, appears very acceptable to me. I never really gave much thought to the function of the rod locking cam but after actually seeing it, I'm thinking it will be used. Again I have not mounted or used the anchor system yet. I'm just giving a rating of my first impression of the quality vs price. Four stars is the highest I would give for an untried product.

Great product

It is heavy duty and functions as it should but the price is a bit ridiculous for what you actually get. But hey....I don't have the stuff to build my own so it'll do.

coudnt afford or fit a big electric anchor system for my 17ft boat so this manual model works just fine
