Excellent Marine Paint. Applies Easily. Vibrant Color
I have used this product before. It provides excellent coverage and cover of previous paint. Excellent water-repellant. Expensive with fantastic final results.

Wonderful paint
First, make sure you wear a respirator. I got the Elipse 1/2 mask for toxic fumes and it worked great. It’s on Amazon.I did two coats of primer and four coats of Topside, with 24 hrs between coats. I purchased the wrong primer from Amazon because they paired it with the paint. Needed primer for metal, not fiberglass. So make sure you check which you get the right one for your tub! I had to go to Lowe’s for the correct RUSTOLEUM primer. Also, I wish I’d known about Flood for getting a smoother finish before I started. Thanks to @seejanedrill I now do and will never make that mistake again. The finish isn’t perfect but it’s so much better. Just caulked it and will take my first shower tomorrow. 🤞I will follow up if there is a problem. Otherwise I highly recommend. It took forever because we’ve had a lot of humidity. I started the project three weeks ago and am just winding up. Whew!Hardest part was not dripping sweat on the tub while working. 😂 Honestly, was very annoying. I couldn’t wear enough bandanas to soak it up as I worked.Be patient with the work and yourself and have a lot of ventilation because it’s intense. Thanks to the people who reviewed here because they helped me decide. 🙌Update: Just added a pic of my first bath in way too long. 😂🛀 All went well and was awesome. I was nervous that when the hot water hit the paint it would damage it but no worries. All went well and I feel reborn. 😝

Deck of house gets makeover
There’s a before/after image here. The deck boards were in bad shape. We spent 3 weeks removing screws so we could flip the planks. Flipped them, sanded, reinstalled, then tried this yacht paint. It was described as “sand” color, but it turned out to be a very bright yellow sand! That’s not the paint’s fault! For the 2nd coat, we mixed a quart of this paint with a dark stain left over from the last time we painted the deck. Both liquids were oil-based, so we gambled on their miscibility. The top coat, then, is a bit darker. We will get used to the bright color. Looks kind of festive, doesn’t it?! We were accustomed to something darker, moodier. Anyway. . . ask me in 3 years how we like this Rust-o-leum product. We had been refreshing the deck every other year. If this marine paint can last 3 years, we’ll be happy!

OMG! Amazing!
I live in a modest home with fiberglass showers and a tub. I'm also a widow in her mid 70s. One day I realized how dull and worn my showers were but I had no desire to have the old surrounds and tub ripped out because that would have ended up being 2 full bath remodels. I'd heard you could paint fiberglass, so I went on line and found out yes, you have to use marine paint, the type used on boats. I read the how-to's and looked at photos and reviews, and I bought the paint, rollers, etc. from Amazon. I painted my showers and tub and THEY TURNED OUT WONDERFUL! They look like they just came from Aisle 37 at Lowe's! The paint dried to the touch in a few hours, hard, bright and shiny. (Though I admit the floor of the tub took a lot longer to dry and kind of scared me. But overnight it dried thoroughly.) As for the smell several people complained about, I'm old enough to remember when all paint was oil based and stinky. It smells like paint, period. Not a big deal. You don't need a mask, goggles, fans and wide open windows. Just get over it. BTW, I had full coverage with one coat. You could do more if you want and maybe over time I'll feel the need. But it looks good to me and I have had no problem in the limited time I've been using the painted shower. Anyway, I did all that with fabulous results and I still have most of half a quart of paint left!

Excellent paint for my sink but very toxic
The paint seems very durable for my sink. The smell is horrible. It was causing me headache and nausea. You need to put a mask on and ventilate the area or you can get CNS toxicity. The smell didn't go away for a few days. Otherwise, the quality and price is excellent.

Perfect Tub Paint
This stuff is amazing!! I used it on my fiberglass tub. People in the 90’s thought that mustard yellow was a great color. Was it ever really though?? Yuck!! Being on a budget and not able to do what I want at this time in my bathroom, I knew I had to do something. I was tired of looking at it and it never seemed to come clean. This made it gorgeous and bright.I started out cleaning it with bleach, then comet, then lime away. After I did 400 wet sand and 600 dry sand by hand, not a sander, you don’t want to damage the tub. Wiped it down again and primed with the red label kiltz just in places I knew would be an issue again wise. Once it dried I began the process of painting. The absolute biggest advice I can give is ventilate and wear a mask with filters. This stuff is strong and can make you sick. I used a brush around the edges and trim looking pieces on my tub. I then used a foam roller to do everything else. I let it dry according to label and did a second coat. It’s thick, goes on well, smoothes itself out and seems durable just by the feel of it. Time will tell but for now it looks 100x better than it ever has before.

Worked well for a countertop
I had an ugly 70’s acrylic blue marble countertop/sink in our guest bathroom that I couldn’t spend a fortune to replace. It looked great after 3 coats but I did a 4th anyhow. I let each coat dry 24hrs. I’m very pleased with it.

Great
This product was much better than the tub resurfacing kit! Less smell, thinner consistency and easy to apply. Hopefully it holds up well.

Used to redo my tub surround
You would never guess you can paint your surround for a fraction of the price of replacing the surround when it becomes discolored etc. The surround was a tingy yellow, no damage but was old. I used this Topside paint with the recommended primer and for less then $100 redid my surround! It is durable, easy to apply, no overbearing smell and looks fantastic.

Good Paint but Strong Smell
I purchased this to refinish a fully enclosed 36 inch shower. I used a high density foam roller to apply the finish. Overall it looks good except for one small spot that didn't level itself like the rest. In hindsight I should have used a spray finish for a perfect result. The paint dries in a few hours but I let it stand for 24 hrs before applying the second coat.Be aware the smell is very strong and after more than a week the paint smell is still very noticeable. I have used the shower and there are no issues with adhesion or water marks.Using a roller required the entire can for 2 coats. A spray finish would require less paint. This white paint covered the original bone color well. I feel the paint is durable, shiny and suited for this project. The only downside is you must be prepared for the strong paint smell that will take a while to dissipate even after it dries.

I want to make it very clear this is an AMAZING product!! DON'T buy any other paint to do your tub.
I have used Rustoleum "tub and Tile" MANY times on 3 different shower/tub enclosures to DIY and fix them up. It is a very messy thin and toxic smelling product. This is NOT any of those things. It is "thicker" so it covers better. It flows together better and DOES NOT RUN! Please take my advice and try this you will not be disappointed. I wish it was available in Canada but it is not, we are fortunate Amazon carries it for us. I am always wondering why we have such terrible products we must use in Canada as the good stuff is not made available to us. This is much easier to use as well, a beginner can easily refinish their tub/shower with one can, and giving it 2 coats as it goes very far. I see many people speak about the smell, well it smells much less then the Tub and tile product. That product smells very toxic this does not. The smell it does have disapates with in 1 hour. Good luck with your project and try this "Top side" out it will make you proud!
