I had several decorative light fixture screws that tightened at an angle whereas I wanted them tightened perpendicular to the light fixture body. This was an inexpensive and effective solution to solve that. Worked like a charm. It allowed me to tighten the screw the angle I wanted it.

I use this tape whenever I need to secure a screw or bolt in an application where “Lock-Tite” is overkill. It has worked well each time and was also easier to remove later, if needed. I also used it to wrap a plastic automotive cylinder …which secures the interior trunk liner in a Mustang. Ford’s OEM attachment system was sloppy and repeatedly “popped” loose. One application of this tape provided enough friction to hold the liner in place securely. It has been a few months since then… without any issues. Good luck!

I have a metal door handle / lock on my front door. The lower end of the unit is held in place with a single screw. The unit has been in place for over 20 years and that screw has striped out of its threads, which allows the door handle to move about. So I bought this tape and followed the simple directions - and it worked like a charm! No more loose handle.

I have some knobs on my 3D printer that have brass heat-insert threads. Brass wears and the threads no longer hold reliably and vibrations due to normal use cause the knobs to loosen. I like the knobs and do not want to print new ones (with nylock nuts). Just a 1/8" strip on each bolt causes the brass threads to lock and hold reliably. I am impressed by the performance, and small amount required to get the desired result.

This was not the easiest tape to work with. Twist often, there by making it clump on the bolt. And very pricey for what you get.

I tried this tape for screws, but it just tore no matter how many times you wrapped it. Once you start screwing, it shredded the tape. Not recommended!

I have plastic fence around my residence. It looks good but screws holding gate hardware are forever coming loose. I have tried most other remedies including wrapping screws in teflon tape, or a rubber band, or glue and epoxy. Nothing has been satisfactory. After four months, the screws with Dap Tank Bond tape are still tight. I will judge the product successful if those screws are still tight next spring. But so far, so good.
