I got this to replace a burnt out wood LED stand after returning another wood replacement. Third time's a charm. After looking at about a hundred options, this was the only quality option. It feels heavy, sturdy and is made out of a glass-like material. The LEDs are bright and have not burned out yet after a few days of multi-hour use, which is more than I can say for the wood stand. Took off a star in rating because there is no shielding from the extreme brightness of the LEDs - They shine right through the stand and hurt my eyes if I look at them directly. Also, as others have mentioned, the on/off switch is under the stand and is cumbersome to operate. All said and done, I would say this is the best LED stand out there. The wood ones are all pretty unacceptable quality and I would avoid the headache of trying them.

I had a battery operated one of these before, and I loved convenience. I tried this, electric one, because I was tired of buying batteries, and the other one died anyway. When I put this on to use the colors on my glass above it are much more brilliant! It’s a trade-off, having to have it plugged in, but it certainly shows up a lot better!
