Not that good
Not sure this did what I was told it would do. Purchased to add to my plants to absorb and hold water during hot GA summer. Plants didn't really seem to hold any more water that typical. I was hoping to have less watering but still watered daily.

Nice additive to potted plants in grow bags. Love it.
These have been great for adding to homemade soil blends for veggies and flowers that I’ve been growing from seed. The directions say to leave it on the top of your potted plants. I totally mixed it in before reading that, but I figure it can’t hurt either way. Now that I see the “spread it on top” directions I’ve focused more on adding it to plants that I already had potted that didn’t have this stuff in it (instead of mixing it into soil blends).I’ve been adding a little sprinkle here and there to felt grow bags containing my soil mixes and making sure to use a good amount on plants that I think might like the extra boost of moisture like tomatoes. In general I love this stuff and I’d consider buying it again sometime. The bag is 12 oz and it’s a Mylar type bag with a zipper seal at the top.The back side lists the suggested spread amounts as:4” pot- 1 tablespoon6” pot- 2 tablespoon8” pot- 3 tablespoon1 gallon pot- 4 tablespoon.I’ve honestly not been measuring at all, but just winging it and it’s hoping good.Overall I’d recommend it.

Very effective water-absorbing crystals.
This is a great addition to any outdoor gardener's tool kit for keeping plants hydrated. The crystals, packaged in a convenient 12 ounce container, will treat anywhere from 12 - 24 pots.It mixes in easily with potting soil and has no scent.Absorbs water and then releases it as the soil dries. Saves time, money, and plants.Priced at about $7 at the time of our review, this will save its cost in avoided water charges in one summer. Definitely a great value both in terms of how much money it will save, but time watering and reduced risk of dried our or dead plants.Highly recommended!

Seem to be as advertised
I like these fine. Thought I’d try them instead of the water absorbing crystals I usually buy for my plants, which work great. But these are supposed to work well for already potted plants, supposedly they work their way down into the soil to the roots eventually if you sprinkle them on top of the soil. So far, I can’t tell that they’ve done anything other than sit on top of the soil and look strange. But they do seem to absorb and hold water so we’ll see what happens given more time.

Has solved a problem for some plants at my office
I have had several failures trying to keep plants at my office, even though I try to have them well watered over the weekends, and have also tried grow-lights to make up for natural light. The lights seem to dry out the plants. However, I saved a couple of plants by adding this to the pots. I checked them just before i left for the weekend last night, and was amazed to see how moist this stuff was, sitting on top of the soil in the pots. The two plants were still green and attractive. Now I'm going to finally invest in a few more plants, and I think it will be worth while because of Aqua Smart.
