Nice book. I had this many years ago and loved it. Good selection of pieces.

This is the third book I have had to renew due to years of use - Excellent in teaching and in performance.

as the late bill guitar harris said, this book is on music stands all over the world. the songs vary from simple to challenging and include works performed by artists such as dela torre, bream, williams & segovia. comparing recorded performances is very useful for interpretations of the songs. there is a tendency for longer & more challenging songs to be at the back of the book. this book provides a large number of songs without worrying about buying individual sheet music.

I loved thins book as it taught me all the great classical guitar songs I always wanted to play. But I myself could not get anyone to listen when I played Classical guitar at parties. So I leared Banjo and every one listens and enjoys that. And Mandolin does that too. Classical Guitar is very cool but only a few out of a thousand like to hear it.But if you want to play great classical guitar and can read music this book is great.

I have been looking for this long revered book, at least to me, for a long time. Now I've got it. However , the book edition was notwell recopied with BLUNT (not sharp) music notes and characters.Well, nothing is perfect in life, I guess.

Well-edited book containing classical pieces from renaissance,baroque, classical and romantic periods. Difficulty levels: advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced. Recommended by my guitar teacher. He has one that must be 30 years old. So it's been in print forever. That should be recommendation enough. Please note: no folk, country or rock in this book. For classical guitar only. No tab.

Loaned mine out to a student years ago and never got it back. I'm so glad to have it again. Many of the early pieces that I play were from this book. Yey!
