Purchased this spring and used it 4 times so far. It tracks well and moves good in the water. Solid kayak, not too heavy for one person

I'm new to kayaking at age 61 and wanted something to grow into. This Perception Conduit 13 had great reviewes for beginners and more experienced so I gave it a try. First time out I was moving as though kayaking comes naturally. Stability was great and tracking was good despite the periods of winds and chop. First time out I spent about 4 hours paddling and found it to be very comfortable. Peddles adjust easily. I live 30 miles from a lake so only had it out several times. Every time, though was a pleasure. I did have issues with shipping, but Amazon's Bulk Delivery Office made it right. Purchased the Perception lifevest and paddles with the Conduit and feel they all work well together. At close to 60 lbs, the Conduit 13 is a manageable carry. Very happy with this purchase.

I don't easily give a 5 star rating for a product, but this kayak is worth it. First I would say that the seat is very comfortable, I would have no problem paddling all day. The foot rests are totally adjustable to your height. I will say the foot rests can come off the rail a bit too easy, so you have to be careful. Next, this boat tracks in the water beautifully. Paddling is easy and cuts through the water well. The boat has two large water tight compartments for storing your gear and buoyancy. I would have no problem taking this out on the ocean, lakes and rivers with class 3 or less rapids. For the size the weight of the boat is reasonable, I have no problems getting this on top of my car. Overall, a lot of boat for a reasonable price.

The media could not be loaded. Kayak is nice but arrived damaged. The adjustments for the seat are broken. The teeth are worn and do not hold set adjustment. I will report back if a resolution is received and update

It was delivered within 30 days of ordering on Amazon. It is hard to find this model at local dealers so I'm glad I could have it shipped to me. Had to interact with shipper a couple of times to arrange delivery but it went well. The boat did have a couple small scratches but nothing I would raise hell over. They should wrap it in thicker cardboard. The delivery guy let me inspect it and was regretful o er the scratch. The boat is great. It glides smoothly in the water and is easier to direct than my old 14ft Necky. It's also much easier to load as it is a foot shorter and 7 lbs lighter. Once adjusted the seat is comfy. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Definitely worth spending a bit more for a lower profile, easier to handle boat.

I wanted a kayak that was fast enough to keep up with others but also stable enough for novice and not break the bank. I have been out in mine about 10 ten times this summer and I really enjoy it. It's weight is not the lightest but very comparable to others of its size at 50lbs. I am able to lift it up on top of my SUV into the kayak carriers by myself. The price point is actually less than other comparable kayaks in its class at $799. I fit inside the kayak easily at 6'2" and 190lbs. The adjustable foot pegs work great to give me a slight knee bend while inside. As far as speed I am able to average about 4.5 mph on a 3 mile journey. The top speed for me without wind is about 5.4 mph. I dont have much to compare this to but it feels fast to me and definitely faster than any sit ontop kayaks i have tried.
