How many dividers come in the $23 pack?

Two, one for each side of your towels like shown in the picture.

How thick a shelf are these dividers suitable for?

My shelf is a tiny bit under 1" but the dividers look like they will fit something larger. Maybe max of 2". They are pretty pliable. If your shelves are very thick the bottom piece that goes underneath will probably hang down over the bottom shelf. Hope this helps.

Does this work with wire shelves?

No unfortunately it has to have something solid to support itself by underneath to latch and 200 slides in unless your wires would be at least 3 inches wide on the shelf would just took back up at you so I would not advise it

Is it 9.99 for one divider or two?

I received two dividers in the package. I love this product and have ordered more for another closet.
