Venture Horizon 2412-11WH White Tall Double Media Storage Tower

The media could not be loaded.  The supplied shelves will sag a bit (see my pic) even though they are supported on 3 sides. I may replace them with something sturdier. Assembly was easy although the central column was not pre-drilled to accept the wooden dowels that locate the central trim piece. Easy enough to drill some holes if you drill slowly and carefully as the particle board wants to split.The supplied anti-tip straps are, in my opinion, not suitable at all. I had an L-bracket from another project that I used instead. I screwed one side into a stud and the other into the top of the shelving and it is now rock solid and won't tip. Another solution would be to drive a screw through one or more of the lateral/vertical supports on the back of the unit into a stud but this would have to be done before the shelf backing (which is installed from the front) is installed.I really wanted something made from solid wood but that would likely cost well in excess of the $289 that I spent. I'm happy with how it looks and I've got plenty of space to grow my collection.Edited only to add the short vid showing just how flimsy the shelves are.

I really expected a lot more from this product. I truly do not think it is worth almost $300.It is mostly particle board and 8 of our 24 shelves came with scratches, and chipping paint that I had to touch up myself with white paint. The paint on the backing was chipping in a few areas revealing the particle board which I touched up with paint as well. The quality is just not at all what I thought it would be. However we needed this in a hurry so we made it work. I just don't feel it is $300 quality which is very disappointing.

Bigger than I thought but that's my problem. I have 75 years so I found its assembly somewhat daunting. However, I think most people would find it quite simple. Once assembled it was quite heavy but very easy to push into place (even over carpet). It's weight is a plus though because it makes the case more stable. I'd even consider placing it away from a wall should it become necessary (every room in my house is already loaded with bookshelves).

Bought this to put our dvd/blu ray collection on. I agree with the other reviews - not as sturdy as I would like, especially the shelves. Assembly took about an hour and goes faster with power drill. Once assembled and filled with our stuff it seemed more sturdy. Ease of customization makes this pretty useful.

This was our second Spartak multimedia storage case. All parts were present and properly cut, so it went together about 1 1/2 days of work by myself and my companion. We are not experienced woodworkers, so we had to read the instructions very carefully. I imagine experienced people could probably put it together in a few hours.I use these cases to store small standard paperback books. The shallow shelves in these cases do a better job than the deeper standard sized shelves.

I definitely regret buying this bookcase. As mentioned by the other reviewers, it's easy to assemble but the shelves are too flimsy and sag or bend totally out of shape as soon as you load the CDs or DVDs, even if you don't fill the whole shelf up. It's too expensive for what you get. I wish I could return it.
