TrijiconACOG 4X32 FLIP Cap W/Bosses

Not perfect but works
It is a rubber casing that fits sorta snug on the lens. I have used the rubber Len covers before and I didn't like how you had to pull or tug it off so I thought this would be a good alternative. I would say "maybe??!" It's not a bad product but the design is flawed when u pop the cap open the piece moves back away from the eye piece. It doesn't get in the way of the sight picture but it does make my OCD kick into high gear. So if you a perfect type of person then I would say to you, so far this is the best product on the market for a flip open eye piece cover but its not perfect. I guess I could put a dab of super glue on it but this scope isn't cheap so I don't think that is an answer for me.

Cheap and what's with the holes?
I can forgive the cheap build quality because that's commensurate with the price, but I don't understand the need for holes in the rubber sleeve. That just seems to serve as another way water/sand could make it to the lens. Also, I'm particularly disturbed by the sister product for the objective lens, which requires a kill flash for mounting, but will not fit over the kill flash. I'll leave a separate 1-star review for that product. I recommend finding another brand.Edit, my ACOG is the kind without bosses for an RMR. If you have the bosses, you need the holes. If you don't, then shy away from this cover and find a better one.

An innovative, yet functionally poor design
Pros:Easy to install and remove without tools.Easy to open and close.Well made.Con:Design - It is made using both hard plastic and a flexible rubber-like plastic. The flexible part stretches over the bosses for installation.Attached to it is the eyepiece section that the cap is mounted on.The flexible section provides zero structural support for the cap.The structural strength is comes from extra hard plastic in the eyepiece section. That extra plastic makes the eyepiece section longer. That extra length takes up some of the eye relief distance (which is already very short). In order to obtain a full view of the objective, your eye has to be touching the lens cap.Even the slightest recoil will bump your eye.It looks cool, but not worth the risk to your vision.

Trijicon flip open lens covers
I bought both front and rear flip open covers. I gave it only a 4 star because of the rubber part. Don't know or feel it will last long term... we'll see. These are Trijicon specific... meaning they are from and for Trijicon. Which I wad glade to see. Dont believe they will work on another manufacturers scope. They are made of rubber and plastic. The door/cover is plastic... and the mount to scope is somewhat a stretch fit. It is tight when installed and you must align the holes onto scope.Protecting your weapons sight lenses are important... you know why, especially Trijicon's they don't run cheep.

If I had known...
I give this product the middle rating because I can't use it. The ad copy did not warn me that it can't be properly used if you have an RMR mounted on your ACOG. It would be helpful if that caveat was included.

Fits perfectly on the TA31
Fits perfectly on the TA31 and was easy to install as you just push it on. Does stay in place and the cap is easy to use though not button press easy. Still, since it is by design for the ACOG, this was the right solution.

Helps keep dust off rear lens
Works like it should - note that it fits sideways and does not work up or down. It has to open either to the left or right. Does work and fits fine however.
