Good shaker, pair with a better cap
bought it to make vespers; good material quality for the task, with an excellent silicone seal about the head; does not leak when shaking or pouring, but know that the life of this product will depend on the life of this seal, for which they offer no replacement; the cap is a 3/4 shot by volume, but I highly recommend replacing it with the rolled-lip stainless steel cap from a bottle of TCW, which will be a full measure; it fits perfectly in either direction and makes this inexpensive bit of kit just a touch more sophisticated

Looked great but totally useless when you cannot remove cap to use strainer
I bought two of these cocktail shakers, one to keep and one to give as a gift. After opening mine, I could not get the shot cap off of the shaker top. I used everything I could think of including thick foam tape (to protect the finish) and pliers. I ran hot water over it, then when that didn't work, I ran cold. The cap would not budge. In addition to not having the shot-sized cap to measure ingredients, the strainer is built into the shaker top so without the ability to remove the top, you cannot strain the ice cubes from the shaken cocktail. So the whole thing is completely useless as a cocktail shaker.Since I did not want to send a gift 2,500 miles that was useless, I then opened the second shaker. Same deal. Cap stuck to shaker top. I hate returning stuff (and Amazon knows that with all the things I buy, I rarely return anything), but both are going back. What a disappointment.

Glass shaker doesnt always seal properly
The biggest issue is the ring around the glass shaker......it is hard to get it to seal properly. So I would say its a bad design.
