Sturdy and my old cat has started using this instead of sharpening her claws on the furniture. You get a bit of cardboard mess, but nothing major. Good buy for the price.

unfortunatly had to return as not suitable for the purpose it was purchase, but quality was good so would be unfair to give a less of a good review

I've bought this twice now because my cat adores them and when the previous one looked a little worse for wear (after a lot of use!) I needed a replacement. He scratches and spreads himself on this several times a day; he genuinely loves it. When he wants to nap near me while I'm working he'll use it as a bed too.I love that it can be used two different ways up - my cat prefers it with the curve upwards so he can snooze in the little dip, but when that side gets too worn I'll just turn it over and he'll be loving it again as if it's new.The little bag of catnip included is a nice treat, I sprinkle a bit of it on it when I first unwrap it and maybe once again the day after. After that, the catnip seems to dry up too quickly to be of any further interest to my cat so I just throw it out. But since it's a freebie, I don't mind!

Item arrived in good condition (there was a slight section of cardboard that looked worn but aside from that)We originally had a scratch pad from the shelter where we got our cat, it was already falling to pieces but he loved it so we kept it for months especially as we wanted him to settle in before gradual change.It affected me negatively as it got more & more tattered and cardboard was shredding off constantly that hoovering needed to be a constant job, the floor was never cleanWe found this which was similar to the original one we had (with the arch underneath), our cat took to it right away and so far it hasn't been shredding cardboard & it has made such a difference to the cleanliness of our living room thank god, hoping it holds up but very happy with the change so farTop tip: I fling our wand toy underneath the scratch pad "hiding" it and our cat dives towards it to find the toy, he loves it! Hence why we wanted to find one with the underneath arch.We also do this with a cat rope toy where we play peek-a-boo by poking it through to the other side of the cat flap flinging it aboutOur cat gets bored easily but he loves it as he can "hunt" plus the wiggle butt is adorableGive it a try if you're looking for different ways to play with your cat

Our cats love this. But the item is smaller than it appears in the photo, so be sure to measure it so you’re not surprised. Still works for medium sized cat but a big cat won’t fit comfortably in my opinion

I was really surprised how small this cat scratching thing was when it arrived. The cat in the advertising picture must be extremely small as my cat Brian, dwarfed it completely.I thought it was going to be a total waste of money but left it out for Brian to try anyway & to my total amazement he loves it & sits on it all the time. Worth every penny.
