Not a Good First Impression
NOTE: This review was written by my friend. I bought them the bike."You get what you pay for!"That's the common mode of thinking, right? Spend $1,000 on a bike, expect $1,000 quality: reliable, maybe a premium component here and there, standard issue components and building techniques that won't let your bike crumble to dust. Spend $400, and your bike is either an entry level bike with care taken to the specs before they're mass produced, or a department store accident waiting to happen. This bike is the latter.I get it in the box, nothing seems wrong. I assemble it, and everything seems okay. I ride it once... And the deraileurs fail immediately; the chain refuses to go up to the higher gears. That's a sign that this particular bike wasn't assembled with the consumer in mind, but I ignored it, manually adjusting the deraileurs and going on about my business. The entire time, I rode it here and there, and I had been riding with a disaster waiting to happen: the front suspension fork was loose. The rubber bushings didn't even attempt to hold it in place; in fact, the rubber itself looked like it was worn out by someone ripping sick, techy terrain for weeks and months before I even got ahold of the thing. The stem itself was loose and wobbly, as in I can hold the handlebar and wiggle it back and forth, with the rest of the bike not following for a good half centimeter in every direction.I searched it up online, thinking that I need to just adjust something, but every response was the same: replace the fork or take it in.This may have been $400, which is not much for a bike, but I'd expect something that I can ride without worrying about faulty parts out of the box. A bent wheel is one thing, that's mainly a packaging issue. A jacked up suspension fork? That's absolutely a manufacturing problem, and I'd advise anyone to stay away from this bike. Heck, I'm staying away from Schwinn, unless I can inspect it in person.Summary: Inexplicable manufacturing defect - do not get this bike.

Piece of garbage
Right out of the box, the front wheel had a spoke loose, so the wheel was out of true. Took the wheel to a shop to fix, since returning the bike was inconvenient. Attached the wheel, adjusted the brakes. The first two yards of the first ride, the gear system broke.

Poorly quality controlled
Left pedal crank threaded incorrect. Cannot be used. Proved by removing pedals off old bike (also Schwinn ) the new pedal fits the old bike perfectly fine, so the crank piece is the issue. Really frustrating.

***updated**** Great bike but bad Warehouse deal
Bicycle is great and a good price given the ability to find bikes today. The problem is Amazon Warehouse Deals. The bike was sold as like new but didn’t have any pedals or a front wheel skewer (axle). Not the first time I’ve gotten bit by the warehouse.*******update *********I received the missing parts from Schwinn very quickly and got the bike on the road. My son called me to come pick him up because the chain kept falling off. Turns out the entire crank assembly had completely unscrewed and was wobbling from side to side. My only option is return the bike and order a replacement that’s $200 more or replace the entire crank assembly because the original one is so messed up.

4/5
For the most part I live this bike but it came with a few bad parts my front wheel is bent the pedals are plastic which break easily and the grips are meant for cruisers not mountain bikes but the suspension is is amazing but with it being near 1000 it should have duel suspension and metal pedals, better grips and disc breaks 4/5

Cheaply made.
Seems like a knock off. Schwinn must’ve sold their name to Amazon. Cheap bike and definitely not worth the crazy increase of value due to demand. It is not adjustable size either

Damaged DeRailer
I received the bike almost 3 months after ordering, but the biggest issue was that the derailer was bent. The bent derailer was able to be fixed from a local bike shop for an additional $50, but after the long wait and the broken part, I am concerned that this is only the start of a bad experience.

Great bike but instruction are vague
Before I speak about what this bike lacks I would first like to say that it works spectacularly with great looks and comfort. But however this bike does have its downside. The instruction is vague and does not clearly state all the instruction and require some previous knowledge to assemble. But after that it is a amazing bike though it has a seat that is ridged and hard (it would be important to purchase a new seat for the bike).

Nice, not perfect - depends on the price
Bought this bike for $500.All components on this bike are basic and required tune up.However the most important is that the bike arrived with rear derailleur made by Microshift instead of Shimano Turney, as advertised. When approached Amazon, I was offered $100 discount to keep it as is.So I think it is a nice entry level bike worth about $400, not more.

Damaged product and box at delivery
Just received the package yesterday after months of waiting. The box it arrived in was very banged up and the bike inside the box is dented, scratched and a metal piece was broken off...very disappointing!
