I purchased this to use for my pets. Upon opening, it smelled so fresh that I couldn't help but use it myself as well to make a smoothie immediately. It is in a nice thick foil pouch with a reclosable seal to help keep the product dry & fresh.

I will use it for smoothies/shakes, because for now we don't buy fresh pumpkin as often, and one of my friends uses fresh pumpkins to make smoothies, and I want to try this powder with superfood greens and/or berries/reds powders. Plus, this is better than pumpkin spice. It's the actual pumpkin. Thank you.

I add this to my dogs food to help alleviate scooting issues. Good quality product and it seems to work. The dogs like it.

Strange smell and taste; dogs got sick
I had freeze dried pumpkin from another company before to add to the dog food before when canned pumpkin is not in season. I mixed this powder into a paste with water but it smells more like henna than like pumpkin and tastes weird. None of our three doodles liked it and two got sick. I do not recommend it.
