a great odb2 reader for the price.
This seemed to work well on both my 2008 nissan and my 2013 mercedes. With both I was able to pull an codes and clear them. I was also able to pull real time stats from both vehicles.the interface is intuitive enough that I was able to move through most features without the need to read the instructions. There is also a information menu in this that gives you common causes to some engine codes.the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I can't seem to get the update tool to download. There is a card enclosed with a web location to it, but on that page, clicking on the link to the update tool, takes you to a 404 error. If there was no mention of updates or the card with a link to where it may be, I probably would have given this 5 stars as everything seems to work as expected. My only concerns come from my perception I may be missing out on something in updates.[UPDATE]Support got back to me the day after I had mentioned with a good link to the update tool.what I had received in my order was running a very recent version of what was available.

Troubleshoot ABS problems on your own car by yourself
The media could not be loaded. As a professional mechanic, I have many extensive auto scan tools. Recently, I found this launch Creader vii+ that fixes ABS problems and only costs about 149 dollars. Once plugged in, it starts analyzing, then it goes through various vehicle systems to check it out. Upon reaching the ABS system, you can read and erase the fault codes after you fix it and get the info off the computer if you need. This tool gives every trouble code and explain what the code represents. It can show you if the stop lamps working and if the relays working, if the actuators working, ABS warning light is on or off, if any of the solenoids are on or off and not working, i do have to say that i never found a scan tool that’s about 149 dollars that can do all the stuff with ABS systems. You can see the live data in the data stream part, it shows you the speed of all the speed sensor to see if there’s a problem, if the data is correct or not. A great scan tool to help you fix your car’s ABS problems.

Cheap, possibly fake, but works OK
Awesome cheap scanner. That being said, live data is limited and very slow so basically unusable. Also I am 100% certain this is not and never was a real Launch product but that was my fault for not doing enough research. If you absolutely NEED live data, like most shops (including myself) do, but don't want to spend $3,000 on the snap on equipment, spend $300 on a Foxwell or something similar to that. This is basically just a big basic hand scanner with ABS. But in that effect it works great, and is dirt cheap.

No customer support or technical support.
The CRP123 powers up but then powers off while actively analysing the vehicle after a short period (1-2 minutes). Mutiple tries over several days were consistant. Appears to be an internal power supply issue. I called customer service and they said they would refer to technical support who hasn't contacted me. The website doesn't have much info on this device, but it seems to suggest it may be an older device (?). Perhaps no longer supported (?) The manual says to register and update device at www.x431.com/CRP123 but my laptop pc security software says the website is "Forbidden". Also the manual says the device is only compatible with WINDOWS XP, 7, 8, and 10. Bottom line - stay away from this device - too many warning signs.

Very helpful
I have tried and tested the LAUNCH VII+ this week and I am very happy to report that it worked very well. On my BMW 3 Series F30, I was able to diagnose and turned off the ABS/Traction warning lights which turned out to be a faulty ABS sensor. My BMW 3 series also had a faulty parking sensor which has been diagnosed and replaced. The second car I tested is a Subaru Legacy, and I was able to reset the service message and the check engine light. These jobs at the garage would reach hundreds of $$$ in total, however, this diagnostic scan tool has allowed me to do all of the works myself, so I am very pleased with it. Overall, it is a very nice and well-made diagnostic tool that has a broad array of diagnostic functions for home users or DIYers to perform complex tasks (system diagnostics).

Extremely Useful, saves time and money.
I bought this for use with a 2005 Dodge Magnum, in order to read Transmission codes, and this scanner did not disappoint. In addition to reading both ECM and TCM codes, this scanner can provide data of everything that goes on in the engine / transmission systems in real-time.The interface is a little silly, with only four buttons required for any use, but it's easy to handle and reads plainly and clearly. The initial cost is a penny and a bit, but it'll save you trips to the shop for diagnostic work, and if you're a DIY'er like I am, you won't have to hunt for the problem.

Amazing value! Best scanner for the money!
Got this because airbag light was on in 07 corolla. This was able to read and clear the codes right outta the box, no update or registering needed. Was able to use it’s clear function to diagnose a bad clock spring by shorting the squibs. Thing is very fast too. Read all the historical stuff too, good to see if buying used car. This will pay for itself 10 times over. Just be sure your car is in the list of supported cars. Was very intuitive, no instructions needeed. And the person who said it was doa and wouldnt stay charged... uh there isnt an internal battery bud. It never said it would do those things. It runs on your cars battery and saves data to a micro card your pc can read later if you wanted. Never needed the card. I get enough info from the scan tool itself.
