Q: How easy is it to clean? does the rack come off of the rack? rust? scum?

I have hard water and the black color does show the lime. But cleaning is easy and having the extra tray is nice for additional dishes. The tray sits through the bottom rack stands. No rust on the metal.

Q: Can you slide out main tray (not the extra side one) to wipe it off while dishes are in the rack?

The main drip tray is not easily removed from the steel rack. We have removed it for cleaning, but only when the rack is empty. It fits into the rack in such a way that it does not slide out easily.

Q: Is the drain tray angled so the water goes into the sink & NOT all over the counters?

Yes, the tray is angled and goes eight to the sink
