How do you set the date on this watch with how different months have different number of days

This is an analogue watch and the date requires resetting each month, unless there are 2 or more months with 31 days following each other such as July and August.

Will the watch take a third party strap, like a leather one?

Unless you can source a leather strap with duo-width (inside and outside lugs) then the answer has to be no.

Why so long delivery?
