Yes, this tool is required for the 3.5L engine in a 2005 Kia Sedona. Make sure you follow manufacture procedures for proper timing belt tension and installation. I had difficulty getting the proper tension on the first few attempts. It is a tight fit getting this tool on the pulley due to the body frame.

can I use this on a 2001 chrysler pt cruiser?

Not sure I only used it one time on a friends car. If you measure the pins, center to center its 18/32 or 9/16th or 14mm I used a steel ruler not a tape measure. Use the correct tool to set tension or belt will jump a tooth and bend valves, if you have a interference engine.

Will this work the Mitsubishi eclipse v6

This will definitely work on a Mitsubishi v6 I had to switch the timing belt and pump on mine. Make sure you get some extra help and that you get a good grab of that handle when removing the timing belt to minimize the cam from moving since it is an interference engine. Would recommend to mark the position of the cams with a sharpie or something before removing in case the cam does move you know how to adjust it to the right timing position.
