Littlefair's Non-Toxic Water-Based Wood Stain - 5ltr Very Red Mahogany Wood Dye for Indoor Timber Including Doors and Skirting Boards

Love this wood dye. I used it on an old kitchen chest of drawers. The top was scatched and full of stains. I sanded the top with fine sand paper to remove the stains. Then i put the wood dye on with a paint brush in the direction of the wood grain. 2 costs is what i neeced leaving 4 hours between each coat. Left it to completely dry out for about 2 days. I then waxed. Perfect.

I bought medium oak colour and I’m happy I did. It came out exactly like I wanted. It was my first time using this dye and I had no problem at all. Easy to use...just read the leaflet first. It doesn’t stain ready made fillers.The picture is after putting varnish on.

This gives white wood a lovely oak-like colour that brings out the grain. The colour is very natural and persuasive – not a sickly yellow as many other waxes or varnishes can impart.Give the wood one or two even coats, rubbing in with a cloth. Leave several hours for the colour to set in as it changes after the initial application.

Liked the size of this product, as I only needed a small amount of dye. It was exactly as described on the website and very easy to apply. Happy to recommend.

Easy to work with, fairly watery but spreads and covers well. Do test on an offcut if possible as it works differently with different woods. My good quality pine picture rail absorbed slowly so it was easy to control the final effect. Some cheap pine shelves from Wickes absorbed very quickly making it harder to get the right tone, so I'm glad I practiced on a offcut.

Used various little fairs products for wood & this just like all the others was perfect

If you are going to apply more than one coat, do so after it’s fully dry or it will impact negatively on its appearance by making the colour patchy.
