Psyren, Vol. 10: Alien Sky

Having rescued Nemesis Q's creator, Ageha and his friends take her back to ROOT with them. After their return, the woman known as Grigori 07 reveals the truth about her past as well as the true reason she created Nemesis Q. Meanwhile Oboro and Asaga are surviving as best they can in the hostile world of Psyren and the W.I.S.E. Commanders make plans to crush any resistance. After returning to the present, Ageha must deal with the consequences of his extended disappearance.This tenth volume of 'Psyren' is mostly backstory and setting things up for future plot events and is very funny throughout, although there is nothing much in the way of action. Grigori 07 is a good character who is quite funny and her backstory is interesting and somewhat sad. The volume also gives us a little more information on Ageha's family and some of the plot elements introduced here will lead to some interesting events in future volumes.The volume also includes a rather humours bonus comic.Overall this was an entertaining volume that is worth four and a half stars at least.
