Q: What pressure should this be pumped up too?

I pumped it up until it was firm - like I would do a child's pool. I love mine - so comfy

Q: Can you use a hand pump if there’s no electric hook up ?

Yes you can , also I wouldn’t let the kids slump down on it because my sofa deflated after a couple of hours and I’ve only used it on one trip for 3 days

It's fine heat wise. Doesn't get too hot

I've been sleeping on mine ( with my young granddaughter ) for 2yrs over summer months. I'm no light weight and have the best nights sleep ever. So comfortable and no loss of inflation. Use it as a featuring the day.
