The media could not be loaded.  I got this toy dog for my toddler, and he is very happy with it. He has a lot of fun playing with it and the remote control is very easy to use even for little children. No complaints from him! The battery lasts a long time and is easy enough to charge. Just flip open the cover on the dog's chest to reveal a USB port and plug it in. No need to take batteries out to charge.It can get a little loud, though. You can hear the motors turn with every move. To make it worse, the wheels are loud on hardwood floors, but it's much quieter on carpets. The noise doesn't bother the little ones, but if you're working from home, the kids need to play in a different room.This is not a "con" for me, but just know that when the dog walks, it's legs do not actually move forward and backward. It has wheels that turn, or it's torso twists left and right to move forward and backward.Overall it's a good fun toy for the kids. They can watch it dance around, or they can control every movement with the included remote control. It even lets you program a series of movements and then play it back.

I bought this for my grandson and the controller stopped working after 6 weeks. Replaced the batteries and this did not help. Tried contacting (via chat) the company thru the link on the product page, but the chat does not seem to work properly. I sent an email message to Deerc asking for a new controller. Currently waiting for a reply.Update: I received a new controller and this one worked fine. I took apart the old/first controller and discovered that the pushbutton rubber pad had slipped out of place, presumably from dropping the controller. After repositioning the pushbutton pad the original controller worked fine. The product works fine and my grandkids love the Robot Dog. I give it four stars instead of five because the controller can easily malfunction if dropped.

My grandson loves his robo dog..its very cute, has many great features and is easy to use.But unfortunately he/we just started playing with it before checking to see that all of the pieces were in the box. We didn’t know it was missing the charging cord until the toy had run out of power. My husband and I had tried several other cords but to no avail. My grandson refused to let me return “his doggy” even though it's basically useless now. The customer service manager ( I assume), reached out to me after hearing my concern. Cathy was more than professional, she was warm, caring and willing to listen. She went above and beyond my expectations. She told me that the company was sending a completely new toy when I'd have been fine with just a cord. I was an at the generosity and blown away by the speedy response to my issue. Cathy is a gem and I am so grateful to her and her company.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought this dog robot as a gift for my friend and it is so cute! It comes with a big box and is larger than I expected. Just turn on the power and it start dancing and playing music.Pros: very cute. There are many actions embedded and it comes with a remote control which can control the moving directions, sounds, and actions. If I pat its head, there are some funny reactions such as bark and move. The quality looks great. It goes to sleep mode to save power if we don't play with it for a while.Cons: The remote controller didn't come with batteries. But it just need two AAA batteries and I have plenty. If you found the remote controller didn't work, try to unscrew the battery cover on the back of the controller and install two AAA batteries.

My son wrote this review: I like how you can use your hands to control the the robot dog to move around. Not Like a real dog, you don't have to feed it everyday. The feature that you can choose a type of music and the dog dances along with the music is fun. But, I hope the battery could last longer so that I could play longer each time.

Don’t use the enclosed charging cable. It’s a great toy with loads of features, but as other users pointed out, when we first charged it with the enclosed charging cable, it only lasted maybe 10 mins. I used another usb cable we had for a tablet to charge it and it’s been going for hours. My 5 year old is so happy with it.

My six year old son said he enjoys the automation and the songs. He gets a kick out of controlling it and entertaining his baby sister.I think the eyes are cute and expressive. The battery life seems to drain easily, but I’m ok with that.... I like how it charges in the wall. I do not like one song “Three Little Indians” I’m Native American so we just change it when it plays. Maybe on the next version they can not put that song on the dog.Overall, it’s a really cute toy and my children enjoy it.

Bought this for grandsons 2 year old birthday. They had just put their dog down due to illness and he was always laying on the dog and loved him. I asked my daughter in law how he liked the toy and she said it did a lot of different things and all three children enjoyed it. I made a wise choice getting this toy it’s good for all ages.
