Nice looking and sturdy
I've had this for a few weeks now. The packaging was nice (makes a nice impression for gifting). It includes a decent chain. Was easy to setup. So far it's been very durable and sturdy. I carry this with me every day. I haven't noticed any major loss of time from day to day. I wind it every morning.

Paris watch
This skeleton pocket watch is a joy to view its internal mechanisms. It's only faults are that the hands are too thin and the stand for holding it upright does not extend far enough to maintain its vertical position.

Amazing Beauty - Great Warranty
I love this watch - and it has stopped working twice now - each time CH repaired it and sent it back no charge.Does not like to be dropped or bounced around.Stunning beauty - front and back is mesmerizing to look at!Little kick stand lets you set it up on a desk.Highly recommend even though it's a little "delicate".

Beautiful watch, great quality
I got really interested in the mechanics of a mechanical watch and decided to buy an entry level pocket watch. This watch is absolutely beautiful, It's heavy, very good quality/craftsmanship, has a great antique 'scratched' metal finish and keeps time very well. I was actually surprised by how accurate this watch runs, it's been almost 2 weeks and it's accurate to the minute!I am not sure if i will ever actually carry it on me, but it's a great watch to look at and watch it work.

Nice enough, but not the upgrade I was hoping for
I have slowly been getting interested in mechanical watches. Previously I owned a $24 skeletonized pocket watch, which I enjoyed, but which broke fairly easily on mild impact. I bought this one as an upgrade because I saw it mentioned positively on some review sites. This watch does seem more sturdy, and looks better in some ways. But it does not keep time any better - so far it gains almost a minute a day. The ticking is louder than my cheap one (which you may or may not prefer), and though it may be my imagination, the ticking also sounds a bit more "tinny" somehow. The mainspring is also a bit irregular, rather than the perfect spiral on other watches (including my $24 one). Overall my (unprofessional) impression was that it is not much if any better-made than my cheap watch, except for the casing. Also it's important to note the price on this watch varies wildly - when I started watching it (around the holiday season?) it was selling in the $300s, but eventually I bought it for about $160. This suggests to me that they are hoping high price alone will pass it off as a fancier watch. I am not sure the better casing is worth $160, let alone $300.

Mega Hit!
First, the watch is BEAUTIFUL in person! You never know about online purchases, but I'd say this is everything I hoped it would be...much nicer than the average-to-low priced pocket skeletons but not in the uber-expensive range. I'd say it is an excellent value. It was a 25th anniversary gift for my hubby, and, boy, was he surprised. I catch him in looking at it regularly...found a glass dome to display it in even though it has a self stand. We both love the detailing on both sides and that the case is very slim so as to expose as much of the watch mechanism as possible. Even the packaging was very nice, for presentation as a gift. Second, it keeps excellent time..winds smoothly and easily. So it's NOT just a decorative timepiece. Would definitely consider another Charles-Hubert, Paris watch.

Excellent!
This is exactly what I was looking for. It is a beautiful watch, and has a solid feel to it. It has survived a few thumps already, although I did have to readjust the time after a slight fall to the carpet >.>

A keepsake for a lifetime
Beautiful timepiece. This was a 21st birthday present for our son who is away at college. Millenials today use their phones to keep track of time so a watch isn't as important from a functional standpoint. Today it's more of a fashion statement but they are bulky for daily use. The choice of this timepiece was a crapshoot but it ended up being the best choice that we could have made. Our son really likes the intracacy of the visual movement and winds it diligently every day. Yes you have to wind it. No battery to replace in this timepiece. A true retro-type of gift that will be a lifetime keepsake.
