Ohhhh the STINK! (Heed the warning)
Ok everyone. Seriously, read this carefully. If you like lavender... I mean REALLY like lavender... this is for you. Only on night one though, because after that you have a lingering smell that can only be described as "3 week old urine on the bathroom floor".My wife and I used it and she actually thought it was fine on the 1st night. She actually doesn't like lavender at all and had no issues with it which was a pleasant surprise... or so I thought. Until...Night two (after taking out the pad and humidifying with NO PAD mind you) it made us want to puke. This night it was an over whelming smell of flowers, even though there was no pad present at all. It was similar to walking through a yankee candle store... but only the store is filled with the worst smelling candles of all time. We turned off the humidifier, cracked windows, and choked on the fumes. The next two days I ran the humidifier all day while we were at work thinking that it would help rid the humidifier of the stench. It did not help. We came home to a stench that had morphed into a smell of stale urine. Like a pet had peed on the carpet two days ago and you didn't know until it was too late.My wife actually thought it was the bathroom since we have a 7yr old boy who doesn't always hit his target (Why? I'll never know). So we decided to clean the crap out of the bathroom. Nope. It was STILL the damn humidifier, Even though the pad had been out for 3 days now!So, what next? We opened windows on a 20 degree day, changed all the water wiped it out, put in a normal menthol pad and ran it again. I was thinking maybe the new pad will rid the old smell, the windows were just a precaution. The smell was still SO BAD that we did not even smell the menthol one bit!We literally thought we might have to throw out our humidifier until my wife decided to try cleaning it out with vinegar. It got rid of 95% of the smell. Thank god. The lingering slight odor is going away day by day slowly but surely. My recommendation. Don't buy these. Don't let your friends buy these. Don't let your family buy these. Don't let your worst enemies buy these. They are THAT BAD.If you have purchased these and have not used them yet... try returning them. If they don't take them back please deposit them into the nearest trash can. Whatever you do, please DO NOT open the evil little machine sealed packages!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Counterfeit.. I had a couple real ones left to compare directly to this product. Didn’t need them to verify though, the smell was painful and stuck around. Can still taste it in my mouth and all I did was open one of the packets. Anyone that has receives these will know better than to take them out of the packet after opened.

Not recommended for dog owners.
Warning: This product may not be good for dogs.I don’t understand the science behind this but I am just speaking from experience.I purchased this Mini FilterFree CoolMist Humidifer a few days ago. I quickly fell in love with it. It helps with breathing and congestion. I soon ordered a few different Vicks scented sleep-aid strips to try out. I let the machine run for hours.Nothing bad happened on day 1 and 2. On day 3, it was cold and rainy in Seattle so I had all my windows closed. The humidifier was still running all night. I woke up at around 6:00 am to the sound of my dog gasping for air. It sounded like he was having an asthma attack. He couldn’t breathe. I quickly shut off the humidifier and opened all the windows. I took him outside to get some fresh air. He is recovering now. While I love this machine and Vicks scent, I personally think it may be harmful for dogs. Their nose is not like humans and are way more sensitive. After Googling this product on the internet, I learned that other dog owners experienced complications with this product. I don’t recommend this product if you have a dog or any pets in general. Or, only use this humidifier but without any scented strips.I am just sharing so nothing happens to anyone’s dog. I think the company should put a warning label on the box. It was a terrifying experience watching my dog struggle to breath.

Stinky
Being absolutely honest here. These pads smell something awful. Really didn't help me sleep, neither.I like to cut felt pads to size and drop essential oils on them and make my own night blends..

Rancid
Rancid. Foul. Smells like mothballs, soiled adult diapers, and just touch of dollar-store-lavender-scent. Looks counterfeit, not comparable to any of my other vapor pad packages. I thought I was getting a deal, but this is a rip off. Hoping I can still return it and it hasn’t permanently tainted my humidifier.

I thought this Vicks store was legit?
I use vapor pads all the time. None have ever looked like this. They looked vacuum sealed and the oil of the of pad was all over the inside of the bag. Even when you try to open the bag the plastic bag starts to deteriorate.I should’ve read these reviews 1st.2. I should’ve trusted my gut feeling and not put this in.. because as soon as I put one into my humidifier I started to get a headache.DONT BUY

Waste of money
These had a horrible chemical smell and were either dried out or packaged terrible. I get the other scents so was excited for these. Honestly I won’t be getting them again.

OMG! I wish there was a zero star option
I was so excited to receive these for my Vicks humidifier… they smelt absolutely horrific. They were drenched in some sort of rubbery chemical which made the pads yellow. They were not white. Save your money and buy from another seller or in store. These aren’t real Vicks VapoPad refills.
