YES IT COMES WITH JTDHDEX1x8 and 7 SINGLE GANG WALL PLATES!IT DOES NOT COME WITH HDMI CABLE FOR CONNECTION TO HDMI DEVICE. MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE ONE HDMI CABLE for connection to hdmi device you are trying to split. There is a power connector on the inside part of the single gang device but you would have to run two CAT5e wire cable to the boxes or simply plug in the power to the front of the box to your outlet and tie wrap power cable to the HDMI Cable.I used this on a SECURITY CAMERA DVR system. All I had to do was run a CAT5e to each wall plate and terminate both ends with a RJ45 and plugged it into the single gang wall plate (INSIDE WALL) and J-Tech Digital JTDHDEX1x8 ProAV.IT WORKED! IT WORKED! IT WORKED! I was able to get the same replicated video on all monitors (5) without any signs of loss.

Installed quickly using existing Cat 6 cabling from earlier unit (different brand) which had failed after 4 years' use.HDMI splitter/extender worked as soon as I turned it on, feeding four TVs connected with Cat 6 cable varying from 30 feet to 75 feet. Excellent picture and sound. Source is an older DirecTV receiver HDMI output.For anyone installing this or similar units, I strongly recommend using Cat 6 cable. Cat 6 cable is shielded while Cat 5 cable is not. We had problems with static appearing on some TV screens with the earlier unit until we switched to Cat 6 cable. Cat 6 cables are available from Amazon at reasonable prices. I recommend the KabelDirekt brand available from Amazon. They're designed in Germany and made to their specs in China. Very nice cables.We started to experience "blinking" of the TV signal to our TVs. The picture and sometimes the sound would disappear for about 3 sec. and then reappear. This sometimes happened as often as every few minutes.A long series of emails with a very patient support tech at J-Tech solved the problem. He first had us check each component of our system: cables, satellite receiver, individual TVs and so forth. After discussion with his colleagues, he recommended that we set the receiver to the native resolution of all four connected TVs -- in our case 720p. This immediately solved the problem with no recurrence of the blinking.So, should you get a J-Tech 1x8 HDMI over Cat6 extender/splitter system, be sure that all the native resolution of all the connected TVs is the same (720p, 1080p, etc.). Then set the source's resolution to this value. This is done via the source's settings menu or similar.Recommended

DO. NOT. BUY. A little over a yr ago I had purchased the 1x8 HDMI splitter which worked off an on for approx 6mon until it stopped working altogether. I came across the 1x8 hdmi over ethernet from JTD. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with any electronic component. I have had 3 diff replacements sent to me by JTD, all of which worked for approx a month or two before becoming a brick. I've tested everything, the outlets, the adapter, the box, my receiver, the tv's, the cables, and all work fine except the box. At this point, there is nothing else I can do except spread the word to as many people as as I can about the problems I've had with this box. The absolute worst possible item you could ever spend $300 on. Product is so bad, that for the price, it's bordering on a scam. (BTW-they do not refund your money-they just keep resending you defective products.)

To be completely honest, judging by the low cost, I wasn’t even sure that this product would work at all the way I needed it to when I first purchased it a year ago. At least half my CAT6 cable runs were approaching 150 feet in length and would really test the limitations of the specs for distance. To my surprise, it worked fantastically! All eight receivers showed a brilliant picture on the high definition displays connected to them. Now would come the test of time.About four months later I got a call from my customer stating that four of the displays were no longer showing a picture. I was really hoping that it was a user error and that someone had changed a setting. When I arrived on site, I found that five of the receivers were no longer working correctly. J-Tech Digital was great about replacing the receivers and sent the new ones even before I returned the old ones. When asked the likely cause of the receivers going out, the representative suggested it might be the result of a lightning in the area and that I put surge protectors on each. I did.A few months later, several of the displays had quit working again. It appeared to be the same issue, and J-Tech replaced the receivers under warranty. Several months after that (about 15 months after the initial purchase), the transmitter unit was no longer working properly. Several days after sending in the unit for repair, J-Tech told me it could not be repaired but offered to send out another transmitter unit, even though the warranty period had expired. I replaced the main transmitter unit only to find that 5 of the 8 receivers had yet again gone out.To be clear, I have purchased several J-tech Digital products and most have worked flawlessly. But for this particular 1x8 HDMI splitter/extender, there seems to be a design flaw where the product either overheats after a period of time or is adversely affected by some unknown condition. In either case, I cannot recommend this product to anyone in good conscience. My rating includes two stars for the product being cost-effective and working great during the initial installation, and one star is for outstanding customer service from J-Tech Digital.

Worked really well. However, it needs special ethernet cables to make sure it works properly, and they should pit this in the description or at the very least the manual.

Very good product, very cost effective and easy to use.
