Lot's of Interesting Stuff Inside
I loved everything about this atlas. I bought it to use on a trip from Texas to Florida and while our navigation system would tell us turn right in 5 miles or you have reached your destination, I couldn't look at Alabama while I was still in Louisiana. It was fun to look ahead at how the road curved, alternate roads, rest areas, picnic areas, just all kinds of stuff. It helped to know where the next bathroom was. The map symbols were most helpful. This one was large print so it was way easier to read than a regular size map. The size made it a bit cumbersome but not so much as to be unwieldy. I had looked forward to keeping this atlas and looking at all the states and their specialties after I got home but at the last town we stayed the night before we reached our destination, it was set on top of the car while the car was being packed the following morning and we drove off; it slid off; no one noticed. I sure do miss it.

Great size
Large print, easy to read & use! Even in today's technological age, a paper road map comes in handy. I have had to refer to it several times, I keep it in my car. Very happy I have it!

Great choice for map users
My husband likes maps and insists on having an atlas in the car, but the one we had was regular paper size (about 9x11 actually) and hard for him to read (especially the insets). I got him this large one for Christmas and he loves it. He can see the insets really clearly, and the spiral binding keeps it open and means it won't crinkle when held open. I'm a GPS person myself, but if you like a regular map, this is a really well-made, durable, clear, and accurate (at least as far as we can tell so far) option. We are doing a lot of weekend road trips now that the travel restrictions have kept us from flying like we used to, so this has been helpful already for route planning. He has no complaints about it.

Amazingly great for genalogy!
I LOVE this atlas. I actually bought it for road trips because it is really the only way to get that bird's eye view of your whole trip. In reality it is so large it is hard to see how it can work very well for the front seat next to me - it would just slide all over the place. I'll probably just stick to CarPlay for actual navigation. This will likely be the stay at home trip planner and it's perfect for that! Plenty large enough to see all the little towns and landmarks. On the other hand I have made the wonderful discovery of what a great tool this is for genealogy! Nowhere else can you get whole states on a single spread showing the edges of adjacent states, geographical landmarks and best of all: the boundaries of counties! Land records are a key part of doing genealogy and they are almost always by county. Where else can you see so easily the outlines of counties on a current map and see which counties are adjacent? Even though many county boundaries changed over the decades there is nothing else that gives this wonderful birds eye view of neighboring states and counties. Its a fabulous tool for an unexpected use!

good scale of states
I have only had time to do a quick scan of the book. I do like the size of the individual state maps but the print could more readable. I am currently having trouble with reading small type - I purchased this hoping the print would be legible to me. Not this time. The print is about the same size as my old (2009 Rand McNally). I guess I will need to carry that old magnifier with me. The larger state maps do shoe me the roads better than the old one page - one state! I do also like the spiral binding rayher than the old staples in the middle.

Great Road Atlas!
I purchased this for my dad. He is 64-years old and he doesn’t use the GPS on the phone because he is very old school when it comes to these things. He kept asking about a “Road Atlas” so since I purchase everything on Amazon, of course I bought it for him through here. The price was reasonable and it was perfect. The size is very big and great for anyone that uses reading glasses. We moved from California to Florida and my dad drove by himself while hauling a car so, he definitely needed this Road Atlas. He said it came in handy and was so excited every time that he got to a new place. The map gives great insight about the places. I highly recommend this Road Atlas.

Perfect nostalgia piece!
I have been obsessed with maps for decades and I was recently inspired to map every road I have traveled using a highlighter and atlas. This atlas is not only nostalgic for the pre-GPS days, but so well-detailed and enlarged that mapping is made easy and enjoyable. The map is up-to-date and laid out fairly well. I have certainly enjoyed my "maptivities" these last few weeks and look forward to traveling with this atlas in hand for many more trips to come.

Road atlas
Easy to read. Using it to show grandchildren the old way to map out routes for traveling.
