Folding Shovel Multitool-180 Degree Folding Shovel-Camping Shovels - 23 in 1 Survival Shovel Multifunctional

I was extremely pleased with the state of this shovel. I take mine bush-crafting and it is exactly what I was looking for. With several different pieces, it makes for an easy add-on to the pack as it collapses down to about the size of a book. I found that the quality of the stainless steel was nicer than I initially anticipated. The bag also seems quite sturdy. It makes for a nice multi-tool, with several different screw-on pieces including a blade and a dual-sided screwdriver bit. Very pleased with my purchase.

Updates: l lost it. :(. I can’t remember when or how I lost it. I used it a couple of times in my garden. I remembered I disassembled it and put it in the bag. I guess I may put the bag in a box. One day I did a cleaning and throw away a few boxes. That’s probably how I lost it.I am impressed that the package came in a very small box. I didn’t realize it’s the shovel after I open it. It is just handful size when totally disassembled. But when I assemble all the pieces together, it is a very solid shovel. It can easily deal with the hard soil in my backyard garden. That’s what I need it for. I don’t do camping often. I guess it can be a good tool as well.

Before I purchased this item I read the reviews and the two cons I saw most often were it was smaller than the buyer expected or there were plastic pieces at key support points. I received mine today and the plastic pieces on the exterior have apparently been replaced with aluminum. It's thin aluminum to support the "lightweight" advertisement but even thin aluminum is better than plastic. As for "smaller than expected." It's an entrenching tool folks. If you've ever had your hands on a military entrenching tool, that's what you're getting here. If you want a full size shovel, search for shovels. If you're looking for a military style entrenching tool that does more than just dig holes, this one will do nicely. If you want a longer handle, you could probably go to a hardware store and find threaded galvanized pipe that would fit. I haven't tried that yet but I plan to. I also haven't taken it outside and beat on it yet so I'll reserve any judgement on its durability for another time. The knife blade is a touch short, but it does have to fit inside one of the extension pieces so I get it. It's more of a utility knife anyway and not something I would use in a combat situation unless it was all I had. All in all, for $38 bucks, it's a pretty handy tool.

This survival shovel will get MOST jobs done quickly and with ease. I like the extra storage in the handle and that the handle can also be used as a Kali stick. The knives are good and sharp and the teeth on the saw side of the shovel are very sharp, as well. I've used the hatchet function and it worked well.The only 2 downsides that I can find on this shovel are the extra survival knife, that can also be used with the handle to make a short spear, and the length of the saw blade. The knife is secured by a plastic piece that seems like it would break if you put any kind of pressure on it. The saw blade, though very sharp, is too short to be functional because you can't get a full stroke. Luckily, I already carry my Agawa Canyon and 2 other knives anyway.Otherwise, this shovel is a great buy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a portable, multifunctional survival shovel.

Shovel arrived just in time for our Memorial weekend camping trip. Fast delivery. There’s so many different things this compact shovel can do.Easy to put together and break down for storage. Once out together it’s very solid. I used it to dig a large fire pit and even chop some wood for the fire.Our lighter ran out of gas and luckily I had the shovel. It comes with a very handy fire starter tool.It was difficult trying to use it because I never tried it before but someone in our camping group knew what they were doing and we were able to start our camp fire quick. Love this multi function shovel!!

I could see how this could be useful, but it really is not well made. Fitment and materials are poor. It doesn't even fold flat, so I ground the washer under the head in two spots to make it. The 'knife' is really crap. Do NOT count on this for survival gear. Threaded portions do not screw together easily. Some videos show these chopping things, but the blades came very dull, so I sharpened mine on a sander. I know it was cheap, so I am not rating it too low based on the value.
