this is a rewrite of my original review which only gave this product one star. I gave it only one star because it died after about three months.it came with a one year warranty which was honored by the seller faster than just about any other occasion I can remember.they sent a replacement product via FedEx very quickly. in addition they told me to check the adapter on the lamp as they found the original version sometimes caused issues. I'm assuming that that may well have been the cause of my lamp dying.upon receiving the new lamp I found that the plug-in adapter was in fact an old version and notified the seller.again a replacement was issued and sent very quickly via FedEx.the new lamp is great and seems to work fine. I really did love everything about it to begin with: it has a very sleek and minimal silhouette. it holds almost any position very well. the warmth adjustment for the light is something I never would have asked for but love having. same for the dimming feature.given that this new adapter extends the life of the lamp I would highly recommend it. I certainly highly recommend psiven as a seller. their customer service goes far beyond most any I've ever encountered.

So far, so good, it's doing the job. The endurance of the power switch is the question. It is not just a plain on-and-off switch; it is a complex inline microelectronic switch with dimmer and brightening features, in addition to on-and-off functionality. How long will it all continue to work?

Many of the desk lamps I've tried haven't been tall enough to sufficiently light up my entire desk space. This one reaches above all the screens I work with so that I can see everything clearly. All the adjustable parts mean I can make sure the light itself is covering my desk without glaring in any screens or in my eyes.The clip on feature is also handy - the lamp takes up only a couple inches of space along the edge of the desk, so will work well if you have limited space available.The variety of color tones and brightness levels are also good - I was able to find one that is comfortable for my eyes and makes the hours I spend at my desk less unpleasant.The only drawback I would note is that the power button and brightness/color buttons are on a cord that runs up the back of the light. I've attached the light to the far edge of an L-shaped desk, in the corner, so I've had to rig up a way to keep the bottons with in easy reach. If left to itself, the cord falls behind where the light is and could be hard to reach.

Been looking for one of these when I saw one on a TV show. Works great. The top of the light, the metal piece is hot, guess that's normal.Update: it may have been hot because I didn't take off the clear plastic cover on the light, seems fine now.Update: bought in June 2023 buying a different one in March 2023. There must be a short will not stay on unless you jungle the cord and that don't work all the time. The plug runs very hot.

*** Edit!!! Not only is this a waste of money the seller ignores repeated requests for a replacement. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS LAMP. The transformer overheated and melted while the lamp was turned off. I had gotten in the habit of unplugging it then only plugging it in if I needed it, well I forgot one night. Thankfully the smoke detector worked correctly and I was able to get to it quickly. *** Purchased it to mount behind my monitors so it could extend over them and light up work space. It worked without fail until... now, the switch refuses to change brightness, color, turn on or off. This was not something that happened over the span of a couple of days or weeks, it just quit. Other than that it is constructed well, does not seem flimsy or cheap it is just the switch. The biggest negatives, in my opinion, the switch is mounted in the middle of the line so to use it the lamp the cord has to leave the base and come half way across the desk so you can control it then back to the wall wart transformer. To put it simple the switch is in a poor location and the cord becomes too short to be effective. I like it but I think I will try something else and not another one of these. Also be aware there are several just like it with different brand names, so I will be looking for a different style hoping to get different components.

Update 1:As you can see from my original review below, the first lamp failed after 3 months which was very frustrating. The company reached out to me and explained the problem was something to do with the power unit. They sent me a new unit. It's only been a few days but this does seem better as the lamp doesn't get hot like it did before. I do believe they have improved the product and I definitely appreciate that. The light itself is great. Hopefully it will now last a long time.Original Review:It was okay while it lasted. After three months it died.Read the reviews – there is a good chance this will happen to you too.The item claims to have a 24 month warranty. When I tried to follow up on this it took me to Amazon who said I outside of the return window. Fair enough – I tried to contact the seller and you get into an automated loop that provides you with no means of contact, except an address in China, and keeps pushing you back through Amazon who says they can’t do anything to help.After being very patient and clear and not giving up with the Amazon rep (who was great by the way) he was able to elevate my request and they refunded me.Although, I appreciate that customer service I am giving this a 1-star review because I want to discourage garbage products from being sold as this is wasteful.
