Great Log Cabin, Not So Great Cedar Insence!
I love this log cabin insence burner! I love it so much this is the second one I have bought so I could have one in another area of my home. It's quite lovely and homey and we love watching the smoke come out the chimney. The only issue I have is with the cedar insence cones. The first cabin I bought came with balsam fir short, fatter sticks and we loved them so much we bought a box of 72 balsam fir sticks. They smell wonderful and burn very nicely. I can't say the same for the cedar insence cones. I don't recommend them at all! They come attached to each other and you must carefully break one off, which is difficult as they crumble and break VERY easily. I managed to break the first one off whole, but, even though I was handling it VERY carefully, the cone crumbled in half. I broke off another and managed to light it before it broke too (it still crumbled some in my hand). It doesn't fit into the hole in the cabin, so I placed it on top of the metal ring and watched it carefully. It burned VERY quickly and my family was not impressed by the scent (very light) like they were by the balsam fir. The good news is the short balsam fir sticks fit in this cabin perfectly and we already have a box of 72! (Just a warning-Don't buy the 2" balsam fir sticks for the cabin! They are too skinny and won't stand up in the hole in the cabin, although they are lovely for burning in a different holder and are exactly the same as the short, fatter balsam fir sticks, but for their dimensions. I would give the cabin 5 stars, but I would give the cedar insence cones 1 star.

Nostalgic treasure with problematic packaging
This was a childhood favorite. When I found it on Amazon I was so excited to gift this to someone. I chose not to because the tape from the original packaging removed the finish on the roof. Now it’s on my shelf and makes me sad. The incense sticks came apart and don’t hold a burn but I use my incense cones in it instead.

Product is good, packaging not so much
You can see from the photo that the little cabin comes with two bands of tape to keep it together. On mine, the tape left discolored bands on the wood and destroyed the sticker on the top when removed. I guess its not a big deal but I didn't really want to refinish a tiny cabin.

Love the scent and the cabin....but was very disappointed in the cones sticking together =(
I had one of these back in high school, and loved it. I had completely forgot about it, and saw something that made me remember, so I quickly went on Amazon and found it, of course! I was SO excited to use it, and was sadly disappointed. The smell is exactly how I remember it (I bought the cedar ones), but the cones.....they stick together like crazy. It basically looks like sawdust clumped together into small cones, and you're supposed to break them apart...only they don't break apart into individual cones for the most part. Usually, you get one and a half cones....and then you have to try and fit them into the circular holder meant for one....which is basically a fire hazard. My husband is a firefighter, and got pretty nervous every time I would do that. I haven't owned one of these since the mid 80's, so maybe I've forgotten over time...but I really don't remember them sticking together back then. The smell is great, the cabin is adorable, but the cones sticking together is a huge disappointment. I may have to look around for something else.

Simple, classy incense burner
The look: If you enjoy or want to enjoy the sweet aroma of burning incense but are not into the wizards, dragons, and new-agey look, this is your product. This is winter-y enough to be a holiday item that you take out with the tree, yet simple enough in design to be on display year-round.The function: The housing itself is made from a light wood, yet carefully hand-crafted to be sturdy enough for at least one or two drops. The incense included is not very high quality, but does help offset the over $10 price I paid. All in all: This thing is awesome! Maybe not worth the full $13 I paid through Prime, but not worth knocking down a star. Definitely a solid buy!

So cute, but not the sturdiest.
it’s just so darn cute I could hardly handle it! However the construction is pretty poor, I was planning on returning it, hoping for a replacement, however the company was very kind and told me there was no need to return it and they refunded me! I did have to use wood glue to fix the wonky side that was loose, it’s holding up for now.

cabin burner
I love this, I bring it out every holiday season. My dad had/has one of these that he would have going when I was little. the con for this is that the wood is a balsa wood like material so it can scratch and dent easily. This is something you keep sitting on a shelf or something though, so it shouldn't get banged up.
