Great product for making repairs to leather.
After using other threads to repair the seams on my leather couch I found this product to be fantastic. It is better quality and heavier duty which was needed in my case. This is a great value for the money.

Brown Waxed Thread
I use this and the waxed black thread primarily for wrapping handles where it works great. It would wrap better if it had a rigid core helping me to pull tighter, but works fine as is. I have sewn with it and works well there too.

Really sturdy. Well waxed. The brown was darker than I thought it would be but it worked out.

What a great product!
Where can I begin? 25 yards doesn't even begin to describe this. The color brown though... it's getting little bit clearer. Waxed, ok, you got me there.I am a new user of this thread, never before having to buy anything like this except maybe kite string when I was 12.I am trying to keep my wits about me so I have taken up leather crafts as a hobby. Making holsters, sheaths, and whatnot. Nothing too elaborate... yet. This stuff looks like it is going to fit the bill for most of my projects. The holster stitching will be the true test as it has all exposed threads. I did triple up on the loops so I am hoping that this makes it a few years before need to resew it.1 year later: Thread has held up nicely. In the past year, I have gone through 2 spools. Doing mostly holsters for phones, wallets, and 4 pistols. (1 of which is carried every day by the local constable) No breakage or unraveling can be seen. Others have described this as strong and I totally agree. The thickness does make it a little tricky to thread the needle, but it is also stiff, so that helps in threading the needle. There are issues when the wax does clump, but if you pay attention and don't work too fast, it is manageable.I will continue to buy this brand either here or at the local Tandy store.

Worked perfect for my project
I used this to make a leaf garland and it worked perfect. They stay in place and when stringing them on the thread it went smooth and didn't tear the leaf.

Tandy Waxed Thread, 25 yards
This is without doubt the strongest thread available in its' class for binding medium to slightly heavy leather pieces together. It has a natural resistance to moisture due to the fact that it is so heavily waxed. For that very same reason it makes sewing that much easier due to the fact that the thread just glides through the leather.sms

Low tensile strength
My experience with a recent purchase of this Tandy waxed thread was poor, due to low tensile strength of the thread. Perhaps I got a bum roll, because in the past when I used this product it was very durable. This time the thread snapped several times during routine awl stitching of two layers of 3-4 oz. upholstery leather.
