Zilla Pet Reptile Bark Bends Terrarium Decor, Large

This is going to work, however, I had to modify it to work for my reptile set up. Let me start off by saying that this entire piece is very rough, with a few sharp areas and it is pretty heavy. I read all the revies before purchasing this item, so I pretty much got what I expected. Here is what I found: There is a hole in the top nub of the log, the sides of that hole are VERY jagged and sharp. I took black aquarium silicone and closed off the hole so that my snake would not attempt to crawl through it and get hurt/stuck. Then I took sandpaper and had to sand around the large hole you see in the display photo. There were so many jagged and sharp pieces, it could be dangerous for a reptile (or fish that could get caught on it). Overall I think this a good piece if you dont mind sanding away the sharp edges. The roughness will prove to be handy when my snake wants to rub against something while she is in shed. The dimensions listed in the description ( 11.1 x 4.8 x 5.5 inches) dont match up to what I got, mine measures 10" x 5" x 3 1/2" (5 being the widest part of the bottom on the larger side but it tapers off to about 3 inches in the middle to top) the hole on the side is about 3" and the smaller end of the log is about 3 3/4" at its widest and only 2 1/4" tall. Anyhow, I will be purchasing another one for my other snake enclosure. It is a nice decorative piece and once modified will work just fine. **Note** The BP I am using this for is small. Only 1 1/2 feet long and 979 grams.

I’m so disappointed in this product! I got it a few months ago for my axolotl. I gave it a quick wash down and put it in his take. It was amazibg at first!! Dragon, my axolotl, freaking LOVED this hide and it wouldn’t hurt him at all if he brushed against it. It was perfect until I pulled it out about a month and a half later and gave it a light scrub and ALL the paint came off! The paint on it all cane off with me just brushing my hand a the soft side of a sponge over it. I’ll be throwing this hide away and getting him a new one that won’t flake paint off it it and pollute the water. I’m so upset by this, it seemed perfect and it was just the right size for Dragon too.

I ordered the small reptile hide for my leopard gecko and it arrived today. I read the demotions of the product and it lied. one side of the opening is 1 inch wide. my reptile cannot fit this and I am very upset about it. before ordering I did check the dimensions and for what it said it was a very good price for the size it claimed to be. but then it lied about what size it was like my ex-husband. it also gave me Vietnam war flashbacks and triggered my fight or flight response. I am not happy about this product, don't buy it.

My leopard gecko Daisy seems to like it. So that's a win. It is sturdy and its long enough she can curl up and fit in or keep her body straight when she lays down. There were no rough edges or anything to file doe before putting it in her tank.

Wish I could add more than 1 picture but it won’t let me.It’s sitting on top of the tortoise and both are against the wall. It’s as long as him when he’s all tucked into his shell. You can see it’s only about 1/8 of his width. Obviously he can’t hide in it. If you’re looking for something tiny this is for you. When I got this item it wasn't packaged well and had chunks missing out of the top. It's also very rough and I had to tape some pieces so my ball python wouldn't hurt himself. I basically had to rub my hands all over this thing and if it cut or scratched me I would cover the spot with duct tape. If I had seen this product in the store first I would not have purchased it.

I really like this piece. I bought the medium one. It's heavy enough to stay into place & holds in the heat. It seems to be my gecko's favorite piece of furniture. It's made nice & looks good. However, I have 1 small issue & 1 large one. My small problem is around the 2 end openings & the larger hole in the middle are not very smooth. So if that is concerning they're easy to sand down. My large issue was last night I caught my gecko in the act of trying to crawl threw the smaller hole on the other side, & sadly got stuck. She got out but it was very frightening & tramatic for the gecko & us. So please if u do get this plug the hole or make it larger. We've had this piece for a few weeks with no issues until now. We still like it which is why it's 4 starts but be proactive & don't risk going through what we did.

Our spiderling loves it and has already started to build a web around it! Should last a while, also would be good for smaller/micro species of geckos and baby/smaller species of snakes like corn snakes, Kenyan sand boas, milk snakes, garter snakes, hognoses etc. I don't understand why people are complaining about the size being "too small", smaller animals need hides too and the dimensions are clearly listed.

Larger than expected, which is always good for ball pythons! The opening of the offshoot at the top is quite small comparatively, due to the thickness of the resin, so I had to plug it up, but my snake loves it.

Just what I expected

At first from the picture I thought it would be a perfect slightly above small hide, but then when I received it, it was actually bigger than expected which was amazing. The hide has been a very playful item for my leopard gecko since she has been climbing in and out of the small branch opening on the side of the log and has been enjoy basking on it as well. I can say that this product has been also been safely made so that it won't harm reptile if they brush up against it, but it does do a very good job at helping with shedding.
