Excellent genuine replacement part
This is my second replacement cartridge for my Price Pfister Marielle Series faucet. Take my advice: buy this genuine Price Pfister part and NOT a generic compatible brand. The generic cartridge I bought last time did solve the leak problem I had, but it only lasted about two years, versus the four years that the original Price Pfister cartridge lasted. I hope this one will last as long as the original. Plus, the Price Pfister genuine part operates more smoothly than the generic one I installed. If you have lost your installation instructions and/or parts diagram, you can find it (or other models) here: [...].The actual replacement of the parts is pretty simple, especially with the parts diagram. I am not a plumber or handyman, just a frugal and moderately handy housewife. You will need a large hex or star shaped bit for one of the screws.Having disassembled and reassembled this faucet several times, I will offer this other advice:a) Buy TWO of these cartridges, because they will eventually fail. If this annoys you, just remember that $30 for a new cartridge and O-rings every few years is still cheaper and easier than buying and installing a whole new faucet. Buying an extra cartridge now means you can replace it as soon as you notice leaks.b) Replace the plastic retaining nut that probably came with your original faucet with the METAL one offered on Amazon (Pfister 9417110). If you are viewing this cartridge on Amazon, the metal retaining nut will probably show up in the recommendations. The plastic one is almost impossible to remove and reinstall without damaging the threads, which may mean more leaks. This metal one is super easy to screw in and out multiple times. Well worth the money! I should have replaced mine sooner. (Don't forget to put teflon tape on the threads!)c) Buy at least four of the O-ring gaskets (Pfister 9509100) and replace all of them you find when you replace your cartridge. I saw two of them inside the faucet, plus I added another one between the main faucet cylinder and the first collar that goes on top of it. (I will try to add a photo). I bought four O-rings, so now I have one spare. Using the same logic as with the cartridge, buy some extras now so you have them on hand when leaks return in the future.

Good fit and performance, but potential gotcha
Cartridge fit (old) Pfister Genesis 533-40cc and resolved hard to move faucet lever. BUT, if your old cartridge has\had a gasket, you MUST remove that rubber gasket (from cartridge or faucet body) before installing new cartridge. OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE A LEAK (yes I know this for a fact). There were no instructions with the new part. I learned the critical gasket removal info from a user comment at the Pfister web site. [I would surely like to buy that guy an adult beverage as thanks.]

Matched the original and no leaks
The cartridge was easy to replace and sealed well. If you have a faucet that uses a plastic nut to secure the cartridge you can replace it with a brass one that is not as easy to damage during installation.Pfister actually sent me one at no cost after inquiring about the part number which I found and ordered before they contacted me back. That was even after telling them it froze in storage after it was used briefly and 5 years old. The replacement even included a brass nut to replace the plastic one. I am a much bigger fan of Pfister now due to their support.

Rcv'd cartridge is OK - problem was clogged diverter
12/23/16 Update: 5 stars. Cartridge is NOT defective. After more troubleshooting, I discovered the cause of my low water flow was a very clogged diverter (my Price Pfister Parisa H34-3N Single Control Kitchen Faucet has a side spray). Diverter was clogged by the disintegrating rubber washers of the hot and the cold shutoff valves (installed 6/2007). My turning off the water to install the new cartridge and then turning the water back on was enough for small bits of the disintegrating rubber washers to flow to the diverter and clog it. Overall, I had to clean the diverter four times before the flow returned to normal (the diverter may clog again but I now know how to remedy the low flow problem). After the Holidays, I'll replace the water shutoff valves for the kitchen sink faucet with new 1/4 turn shutoffs.12/22/16, Original review: Both the hot and cold water flow after install is about 10 - 20% of the original cartridge (which leaked). I will buy another cartridge tomorrow at a local plumbing store and then return this defective one. It appears that the internal plastic mechanism for allowing the water to flow as the handle is rotated is NOT moving/rotating with the handle. In the original "leaking" one, I can see the internal plastic mechanism move/rotate when I turn the handle. I paid extra, $5.99, for one-day delivery but receiving a non-working cartridge was/is frustrating.

Ordered in hast
The product arrived on time and did the job it was supposed to do. However, later learned that I was a bit hasty in ordering it online as the faucet has a lifetime warranty. Price Pfister subsequently sent me a replacement cartridge "no charge". Oh well, I'll have one for the next repair in five / ten years time!
