MADtv: Season 4

I think everyone can agree that MADtv was pretty consistently hilarious -- while Saturday Night Live (SNL), from its inception to the present day, was almost never humorous, with a few very rare exceptions. :-DI think MADtv hit its stride by Season 4, and I wish the many subsequent seasons were available on DVD or Blu-ray.Humor is one of the most difficult arts/sciences -- and I am greatly looking forward to a time when super-intelligent machines can generate phenomenally hilarious stories and jokes, for the benefit of the remaining human population. But, until that time, we can review MADtv.In my opinion, only one out of three sketches from MADtv Season 4 is entertaining and hilarious from my 2022 perspective. Many sketches rely heavily on events and celebrities of the time (circa 1999), and just seem wildly irrelevant today. But, fortunately, many sketches rely only on concepts which will likely still seem familiar and funny -- at least until the "human condition" transitions to a "cybernetic/robot condition" (where the humor will be derived from the commonplace concerns and familiar experiences of robots), which seems likely to happen within the next 10-20 years.I'm holding out hope that someone starts a Spishak corporation, but they'll need a legal team from day one, haha.

In my opinion, MADtv was always funnier than Saturday Night Live and I was very disappointed when the show was cancelled. Glad I can still see it on the DVDs.

Shout Factory own rights to Mad TV, Ive never seen this entire show and all seasons, so I would love to see the rest, preferably on Itunes, but DVD is cool also, I hope this doesn't fall victim to being partially released and never complete another waste of a show that will never be complete, Like Fall Guy or The Muppet Show, I have faith in Shout Factory, eventually they released every Simon & Simon which they also own, I bought every season of that although I eventually could only buy them directly from there own website, I will buy every season of this if it gets released, Don't care if its Amazon, Itunes, Or having to buy from Shout Factory Site, I would love to see the rest. Keep them coming,

The main focus for getting this season is for the KISS appearance in the halloween episode.

I bought season 1 thru 4 and have found that the company who put this together did not give you all episodes. There are repeat episodes from season 1 that should not be there. Don't waste your money.

Some are funny and some are so so.

MadTV has always been funnier than SNL. No question. SNL relies on its actors/actresses, and a lot have been Amazing. But the writing on SNL is garbage. MadTV is fantastic. It’s just too bad all seasons aren’t available for purchase.

Una de mis series favoritas. La temporada 4 fue grandiosa, con un gran elenco. Los sabados por la noche eran sagrados para disfrutar de esta serie por el canal local de la fox. Espero que algun dia saquen la temporada 5.El producto llego en excelentes condiciones. Lastima que no vienen con subtitulos o doblada (que supongo que la doblaron pues llego a salir en Mexico por central 4.
