Junk- sufficient maybe for a cat
Used for a week taking my 40 pound dog on runs. She occasionally pulls for squirrels, which I usually grab and support the leash portion for control. Today, out of no where, my dog pulled suddenly and the waist portion broke at a seam. Inspecting, this seam consisted of only a single row of stitching. Clearly inadequate for any dog of size or strength and the weak point of this design.I ordered a second one as well for my wife. My wife's has the end of the leash material fraying to the point it compromised the stitching so that leash is now untrustworthy.Very disappointed by the quality control of these leashes as well as poor design leading to a serious weak point in the waist loop. Will be looking elsewhere.

Great!
My Labrador loves joining me on morning runs but in reality having a 90 lb dog dragging you while using a regular leash is very uncomfortable and unsafe. This is the first running dog leash that I’ve used and I love it. It's much easier to have my hands free while running and even walking my dog. Now that I have a leash wrapped around my waist instead of my wrist I can walk them and be able to stride naturally. It makes it much more difficult for him to pull me now. I used to use it exclusively for running but now it’s the only leash I use. It keeps my dog safe and would never have to worry about him getting away. I highly recommend this leash to any dog owner. Whether you are training or doing physical activities with your pet it's the best leash in the market. The product itself seems to be made from very high quality materials.

Running Leash
I started taking my dog running with me a couple of months ago, and it's something we both enjoy. Having to hold the retractable leash in one hand while running wasn't very comfortable, however, so I decided to pick up this running leash instead. The price is very reasonable. The leash itself seems strong a well made. It has reflective stitching for better visibility if you need it. There's ample room for adjustment of the waist belt. The length of the leash can also be adjusted, but I do wish it could be made 5 or 6 inches shorter. Even at its shortest, the leash gives my dog enough room that she could run in front of me and trip me if something were to distract her (like the flock of wild turkeys we saw while running yesterday). If your dog is already well trained at waking nicely on a leash or jogging beside you, this is a great hands free option. It won't magically make your dog run next to you or resist pulling if he hasn't already been trained. I've been working with my dog consistently for months to properly leash train her, so even on our first run with this leash she did a very good job of staying next to me and not pulling. Rather than attach this leash to a collar, I use a harness on my dog.Running with this leash is definitely much more comfortable than running while holding a regular leash. I didn't realize how much I missed running with both hands free until I got this leash and absolutely plan on using it from now on. Even though it could be a little shorter, it's a big improvement over what I was using and I really enjoy taking my dog with me on runs.

I hate that the leash can move around on my waist ...
Do not buy! This thing is C-H-E-A-P !! The buckles don't stay where you want, so you're readjusting the lengths and distances if your dog pulls at all. The stitching ripped out at the waist after only a couple weeks, so I had to tie it in a knot to continue using i (near the buckle).I hate that the leash can move around on my waist belt- it just makes it harder to train your dog in using it.I thought it might be somewhat cheap, but I wanted to try it anyway because of the dual buckles to adjust the dog's distance from you. Our previous leash that I lost had that, and I absolutely loved that feature (ruffwear slackline). But if the buckles don't stay, it's useless. Unfortunately I lost the last one, and was looking for a cheaper alternative with the same concept- big mistake.

I am training two dogs to walk nicely together and both of them are slightly leash reactive ...
I am training two dogs to walk nicely together and both of them are slightly leash reactive to other dogs. I need both hands available to give slight leash corrections when they start to react to seeing another dog on leash. If I don't give a quick leash correction to the proper dog with the right timing, then I could ruin the training we've done to date and we'd have to start other rather than progress forward to the point where they don't need leash corrections. Because of this, I needed a tool that allowed me to go hands free. This is the tool! I had one of these in my closet that I had forgotten about and I ordered this one. I use this waist belt and I took the leash off the other one and put it on this one, so I have both dogs on a separate leash attached to this waist belt. It works perfectly and it's sturdy. I don't have to worry about it breaking or slipping off.
