BEAR CREEKCreamy Potato Soup Mix - 11 oz

So we had bought some of this at a local store and found it to be very tasty. Here is what we do to "doctor" it up a little bit:1. Make per the directions (8 cups rolling boiling water and add soup mix)2. Add 1 pint of heavy cream3. Dice 1 onion and add to the mix4. Dice 3 potatoes and add to the mix5. Add a bag of frozen peas/carrots (we've also added peas/carrots/green beans)6. Salt/pepper to taste7. Put in the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours (or high for 3-4 hours) until veggies are tender8. Enjoy a couple of days worth of soup!We really like it and hope you do too.

I love this soup. I tried it at a Christmas-themed craft fair when it was first being introduced. I used to order it directly from the Bear Creek Company; later it was being sold locally at Kroger stores. I was so happy when I saw Amazon was selling these great soups. I love both the Creamy Potato and the Cheddar Broccoli. It’s very tasty to mix these 2 soup packages together and create a new flavor. I like to snip the green part of the scallion stems and sprinkle them on top of a bowl of the soup. Hoping Amazon continues to sell these delicious and “quick” cooking soups. I am very allergic to Gluten products and it’s so nice to find creamy soups I can enjoy.

Of course the tast .....you just don’t see these in the superstores?

Bear Creek soups easy and usually great. Could use less salt. I use half chicken broth and half water rather than all water. Makes for richer soup.

I really enjoyed it smooth and very flavorful.

Taste great

Never write reviews but I felt compelled to warn the world. Soups that have a single one cup serving but that provide 43% or your daily salt intake should be illegal. Lazy recipe, trying to make up for real ingredients with so much salt. Let us season our own darn food. Also, they should call this corn starch soup - it’s the first ingredient. Doesn’t even taste like much so straight in the bin.

It’s not my taste.
