Olivia Garden Brush Cleaner

How did I survive without this?! I took it out of the package and went straight to the bathroom to clean my round hairbrush. I have to say I was surprised and highly disgusted with the amount of yuck coming off that brush! And this is in addition to the hair. There was gunk on each individual bristle. So I spent a couple minutes cleaning it dry, then ran some hot soapy water, whooshed it around for a minute and then used this tool to clean and it worked like MAGIC. I kid you not! My brush looks brand new. I will never be without this tool again. If you're on the fence about buying it, just do it. You won't be sorry.

This is just phenomenal. My hair brushes are usually way too covered with hair. Like really coarse and impossible to clean. I used this thing and it instantly removed all of the hair that had been stuck on my brush for months! It was really fun to use and I don't understand why more people don't own one of these. I will actually say it was like magic it worked so well! Definitely recommend to anyone thinking about it.

Even though I do not use this tool to remove hair from my hair brush, it is a great tool to clean my drum carder. I recommend this tool for it's intended use and as a craft tool.

I really love this brush cleaner. Don't know what I did without it. (Yes I do. I did less well than I'm doing now.) I can zip through 5-6 brushes in only a minute or two with this cleaner when doing it by hand over the years used to take me forever, and I never did as good as a job as doing it with this device. You'll be happy you purchased this. Works with all shapes and sizes of brushes. (When you first run it through the brush, you might not think it's doing much, but just look at the end of the device and that's where you'll see the results.) GO for it!

Holy crap! I am getting older, so I don’t see as well as I once did, but I am still incredulous that I couldn’t see how much hair and lint was nearly cemented into my brush thanks to my own sebaceous glands! (See Exhibit A in photos.) That photo was taken *after* cleaning the brush by hand. Then, to my horror, I cleaned the left side of the brush for a couple minutes with the smaller side of this tool. The difference between the left and right sides is truly disturbing! I have decided to ignore my shame, and I now present to you the zoomed-in photos of the left & right sides of my brush (See Exhibits B & C in photos). This isn’t an instant process, because the left side obviously isn’t finished, but it is so much faster and, obviously, comprehensive than picking at the bristles with my fingers under warm, soapy water! I am going to go further clean my brush now.... first the right side (dry), then the whole brush with this tool *and* warm, soapy water. I will also take the time to wash *and dry* the brush-cleaning tool thoroughly because I don’t want it to rust! I suspect that rusting could be a problem, so dry it well if you get it wet. I apologize for both the badly-taken photographs and the “ick!” factor (even with the badly-lit photos)! If I haven’t made this painstakingly obvious yet - I recommend that you buy this immediately!

I’ve tossed and repurchased plastic bristle hairbrushes many times over my lifetime due to the base of the brushes getting clogged with gunk. Kayley Melissa mentioned this product in her 2020 hair brush video and I was curious so I tried it out. It works fantastically! My wet brush brand brush was pretty gross after two years of use daily, even with me using my fingers to remove any hair after 3very use. This brush rake got out all the hair and all of the gunk at the base of the bristles. Brush looks new again. Bought one for my best friend, who has completely different hair texture than me, and she had a similarly great experience with cleaning her plastic bristle brushes with this product. This is one of those rare cases where the product seems gimmicky and like you wouldn’t need it, but it actually works and you need this in your life. I would give this 10 stars.

I use a lot of hair spray and hair products in my hair. I usually spray my vented brush with a little hair spray each day to style my hair and after a while the hair spray and hair builds up on my brush. I figured this would be a nice sturdy cleaner to be able to really rake through the built up hair on my brush and remove it all. It takes away the loose hair, but a lot of the built up hair product and hair stays on the brush. I think if I get too aggressive raking the hair out, I think the rakes on the brush cleaner would break. I figured the rake would be more sturdy but they are very flexible and move around. I will try cleaning my brushes with ammonia first, and then clean my brushes each time after use instead of letting hair build up. Maybe it will work better that way.

I use these with my boar bristle Olivia's Garden brushes and it really gets the grime/dust out well. Very satisfying, actually. Another use I've found for this is on my fluffy slippers (hear me out...) which have the pile flattened in the toe area from use. When I wash and dry my slippers I use the small end of this brush cleaner and really go at the flattened pile on my slippers and it plumps is right back up and brings out excess bits of cotton that have found their way onto the slipper! All round great buy, highly recommended! But, hey, do I need a brush cleaner brush to clean my brush cleaner? Erm... Hehe....

Brilliant item, I love it. I have a bit of a phobia about hair in brushes and it used to freak me out so much when I needed to clean them, that sometime I threw the brush away. But with this I give it a quick brush through ever couple of days, it keeps the brush clean and hair free.

Finally my roundbrush is no longer disgusting. I like the dual sides it helps with getting all the hair out. It’s sturdy and the metal hairs don’t bend.

Wish I'd discovered this years ago! Fantastic for cleaning hotbrush effortlessly & the narrow end is great for cleaning the brush roller in the vacuum cleaner 😄An easy five stars!
