If I understand correctly, you wish to use the BR-80 to digitally record the output from a mixing desk? You can record from 1) The built-in stereo mics. This is amazing and I used this to record our practice sessions. 2) A mono input such as guitar or mic. 3) A stereo input from 3.5 mm jack input. In the latter case you need to turn record level to zero as the built-in mics will also be active. So connect your mixing desk REC output to the BR-80, adjust the REC output of your desk and you are good to go. Note that the built-in mics handle quite loud volumes and yet still manage to record quite a lot of detail.By the way, you can also use the BR-80 as an USB audio interface for a computer. For example recording mono or stereo to Cubase/Ableton/Logic etc.

Q: Can l use the cosm effects of br 80 to record guitar on logic?

You can record in the unit, then you can use all the tracks to master on logic, with the COSM efects already integrated on the track recording, or you can use your LOGIC plug-ins on the track directly

Q: Is this Mac compatible and can I transfer music from iTunes to the br 80?

I do not use a Mac myself but having just looked at the manual I can see the br80 is mac compatible. As for recording from itunes I'm not sure, if you can find a copy of the br80 manual on the internet then read the section "using the br80 as an audio interface", it may be possible.

You can use it with headphones or even plug an amp or mini speaker into the Headphone socket. Quite a versatiler wee thing. Be careful not to wipe the backings memory as you will never get it back again. It does not act as an amp, it's bigger brother does that, I recommend that to all players, great gadget.

Not cheap, but high quality (came with UK plug)

I already had a Donner 1,000mA daisy chain adapter, but one of my overdrive pedals is sensitive to the cleanliness(?) of the power supply, and using it with another lower powered pedal resulted in a noisy whistling. I was advised to use battery or get a higher quality power supply - hence buying this.Value is subjective - the downside of this PSU is that it can only supply 500mA, but it can be used with a daisy chain, and can still power a good number of pedals, and gives a good clean steady supply of power to each device, so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Perfect, NO NOISE, worth the extra!!!

I tried the cheap power supplies but they introduced so much noise.I took the plunge and bought the official BOSS PSU and it is far superior to the other PSU’s I bought from Amazon.Be sensible, spend the extra £10 or £12 and get this

Quieter than others I’ve tried.

This is more expensive than a lot of others but I’ve found it to be quieter so it’s with the extra. Boss is a trusted brand for me.

Robust and reliable

It's a Boss product and is robust and reliable. I've had a Boss power supply for many years without a problem but I always like to have a backup for everything that could fail, guitar and connecting leads etc. Hence just in case!There are many similar cheaper power supplies on the market but go for the best.

Actual clean power supply

Very clean power supply with very low noise. I use one for guitar pedals and to power a pignose with very low signal interference . Well worth the extra money.
