Not Russian Caravan tea and can't return
This is not Russian Caravan tea. It has no smokey aroma or taste. We purchased two of this item and wanted to return one, but apparently it it is non-returnable. We know what Russian Caravan tea tastes like and this is not it. A waste of time and money. Very disappointed. Don't purchase from this vendor.

Really good tea
I drink tea all day long and have many in the cupboard to deflect boredom. This is a great tasting Keemun. Its the best I have tasted, simple as that. It has a rich almost toffee like flavour if allowed to brew for at least 4-5 mins. and I will definitely be ordering it again. Its such a jungle trying to figure out what tea to buy from reviews between the 5 and 1 stars at the various prices, hoping for the least expense without losing decent flavour. But I assure you this is really good keemun. I love the hip simple soup carton packaging too, not that that has any influence on the tea but still...

insipid and tasteless
Tea arrived earlier this week and I gave it a try today. Deeply disappointed in it: while looking appealing (large unbroken leaves with a reasonable mix of golden tips), the flavor and body were deeply disappointing. Flavor was thin, undistinguished and, frankly, insipid. Body was equally thin and there was not the slightest hint of briskness. Adding milk would utterly overwhelm this very weak offering. Avoid this one.

Dark roses and fugitive chocolaty flavor notes--Keemun-predominant blend
This is unlike other Russian Caravan teas I have had--and is differently delicious. "Sweet" is truth in advertising. It has that slightly-dried-rose-petal taste characteristic of Keemun tea, with slight toasty and chocolate-like overtones (the latter may derive from a few percent of Yunnan, though it does not give the impression of a typical Yunnan tea). It's relatively mild and likely to benefit from long steeping. I have just started on my second canister which will certainly not be my last. It's sealed in a cellophane bag within a robust cardboard cylinder with metal ends. Very nifty looking, very ecological, and may or may not be fully vapor-tight once unsealed. I may either transfer the tea to a metal canister or drink it all up within 2-4 weeks.

Exceptional tea at this price point, hold on to a tin!
This is very good quality loose Ceylon tea. The leaves are huge (making cleaning the pot a little tricky, but it's a problem one wants to have), and the flavor is great. It's a good everyday tea, so I can save the teas I bought from England and France for special occasions. This tea is superior to the Twinings Orange Pekoe I used to buy and which is increasingly unavailable. The packaging on this tea is very eco- friendly, but not very practical for storing tea, so save a tin to relabel and reuse.

Not what it says and tastes like figs
Tastes like dried fig. Clean pleasant flavor. Not a hint of smokiness or the flavors listed in the product description. I am enjoying but wont buy again.

Sweet Russian Caravan Tea
Fantastic black Tea! The sweetness really comes through. I like my tea strong and even the last sip has no bitterness. One of my favorites.

tea is fine. bummed about the packaging
the photo shows a cardboard package and my tea came in plastic. Im trying hard to purchase items in compostable packaging or glass or metal so this was annoying. recycled plastic is still plastic.
