Merrell Women's GRIDWAY Moccasin

I like these shoes. They're flexible as they're mostly fabric and the border is a "sock" like lip. They're roomy, so you can add your own inserts without a problem. They do have arch support and the sole is the vibram material Morrell is known for. I just have a complaint, and I have this same issue with a very different style of Merrill hiking shoes, which is the internal seams rubbing against my little toes, which make them very uncomfortable to wear all day. I have had to add "mole skin" adhesive patches to cover the seams on the inside so they don't rub but the bump is still there. This might be an issue particular to my foot because the seam happens to be exactly where it runs my little toe and other people might not have the same experience.Although the vibram sole makes these slip resistant, they're quite low and loose in the top (due to the stretchy sock like lip) so they're more of an everyday sneaker than a hiking or sporty shoe

I wore these shoes around 4 countries in Europe, walking all around on cobblestone streets, in and around castles and cathedrals, and they were great. EXCEPT for those awful, round shoelaces. They are the worst! Every step makes them loosen up, so you are always having to snug them up. It provides an excuse to sit down for a moment as you re-tie, but it is really annoying. Also, they come completely untied, so you are in danger of tripping yourself or someone else.The shoes look great, not like "gym" shoes, and they are comfortable even on swollen feet.But, if you plan to order these, do yourself a favor and buy a pair of decent laces at the same time.

I purchased these to get me through a vacation in France and Portugal, knowing I needed close-toed shoes especially in Lisbon and Porto for the hilly, cobblestoned streets. I love these shoes! They are cute, comfortable and held up perfectly - and we walked easily 8-10 miles a day.

I've come to trust this brand in the shoe did not let me down. I purchased it for a trip to Europe knowing I would need incredibly comfortable shoes but I didn't want to look like a tourist in clunky athletic shoes. I wore them with a very thin short sock and put many many miles of both walking and bicycling on the shoes and they never let me down. Comfortable with enough arch support. I am a true nine-and-a-half I never wear any other size and this 9 and 1/2 fit me perfectly. I wore them with leggings or with shorts and I've always felt like I looked stylish.

I don't usually write long reviews but I loved these, so here goes- Went on a 2 week trip to France and wore these the whole time! No blisters or pain in my arches (usually where I have trouble). The upper is very flexible which made them comfortable even when my feet swelled from all the walking and some light hiking. I wore them with a thin sock. They went with everything so I didn't look like a tourist, but had the comfort of tennis shoes. I did order some memory foam inserts (in one size smaller than the shoe) to increase the padding in the bottom and just placed the original inserts back on top for the arch support. Literally ordered 20 pairs of shoes to compare and these were the winners. They didn't even need breaking in. Definitely recommend as an investment for anyone looking for an attractive walking shoe.

This shoes were not nearly as supportive as other merrell shoes I own. They felt narrow and a little snug. There was very little arch support. Probably the worst quality is how flat the sole is though, it doesn't allow for any natural rock in your step. I don't think these would be comfortable to walk in. I'm returning theses, it's dissapointing because the style is nice. I was hoping for a "dressy" pair of supportive sneakers to wear to work with khakis.

I am a physical therapist and had been in search of a supportive casual yet professional shoe to wear to work. My search was over a year long and I thought it's finally stopped with these shoes. I wore them to work over a four or five-day. I was telling all of my patients and co-workers about them! I was so excited and I was ready to buy them in all different colors. Unfortunately after putting them on today for my fifth or sixth time, I discovered sadly the sole is coming off. I'm so saddened by this. I have contacted the seller and I am hopeful that they will be able to help me.Update. The seller contacted me in a timely manner and helped with a refund of the faulty item. THEY LIGHT AND FIRM TO HOLD YOUR FEET IN PLACE AND VERY GOOD LOOKING . EVERY ONE TODAY IS EXPERIENCINFG FOOT PAIN . . THIS ARE VERY SOFR AND FIRM ENOUGH COMBINATION THAT IS HARD TO FIND OTHER SNEAKERS ARE SOFT OR VERY FIRM HARD ON YOUR FEET . MERRELL IS THE ONLY BRAND THAT CAN ACHIEVE THIS COMBINATION ( SOFT AND FIRM ) WHICH IS WHAT OUR FEET NEED .AND IF YOU EVER WANTED A YELOW CLASIC SNEAKER BEAUTIFUL SOFT EASE TO WEAR WITH EVERY THING THIS IS IT ..

Would rub on little toes....nice but not worth the price.
