Good.... but not great
I baught this hoping it would be strong enough to mix up my protein shakes but I was very doubtful. It's motor is just a bit too weak to do somethig so thick (if you drink protein shakes you know what I mean). It's amazing for preworkout mixes but most blends are already easy to mix with a couple stirs of a spoon. However IT DOES HELP WITH SOME SHAKES, what I do now is shake it by hand in this blender then lay it down so half of the empty portion of the cup is near the mixer and it barely gets going and keeps the drink from settling and having to reshake. Other then the motor being too weak it looks great, leak proof, and has a very modern day design. I really like the lid, very simple but the design is as airtight as can be.WARNING...ALSO if you buy and it doesn't come with any instructions like mine, don't try and open the bottom battery compartment while liquid is in it lol. For some reason the design makes the bottom battery holder keep the blender motor tight to the wall of the cup so it doesn't leak into the battery compartment, when opened the motor is loose and creates a hole for the liquids to get through. Wish mine had something to warn me but luckily no damage to the blender.

Tornado "Hurricane" in a glass(?).
This piece of "drinkability" surely serves my purpose given the types of drinks that I tend to prepare in it (enough said about that, eh?). The stylish mixing piece spins freely with that whirlwind sound and, naturally, when there is liquid in the mug it takes a couple seconds or so to notice the hurricane activity mixing within. With water, and lighter fluids of the sort, it just kicks in and starts to activate the "effect" almost instantaneously. It is worth mentioning that when I started to handle the item, the stainless steel rim came off with the lid itself so I was not for certain what really was the actual lid until I examined it more closely and realized that the rim was not part of the actual lid. There is a rubber seal within that rim area which is where the lid makes contact. The rim was not fixed to the mug, as in fused or glued, so I have to manage with it either staying on or coming off when I remove the lid. That should not be an insurmountable problem, and if this might tend to become a bother, just apply some "liquid gel" glue to a couple of key spots and you should be good to go. The drinking port cover and breather hole is covered by a rotating dual valve which is to be turned either way (not pulled up or yanked on) to a built-in stop. The battery compartment on the underside is easily accessible by rotating the lower base and properly inserting two (2) AA batteries. You can either just softly push in the button on the side of the base and hold it until satisfied or you can fully depress it (you should experience a soft clicking feel) for it to continue mixing until you depress it again for it to stop mixing (or until the batteries had enough). I do enjoy this mug nonetheless and have interest in other products within that line.

Very cool with a serious delivery flaw
For such an inexpensive item, this is incredibly well though out except for one glaring omission that may in fact be an assembly problem. There are lots of seals on this, even in a couple of places where they are unnecessary, unless it leaks at the base. And that's why I don't think this was an assembly problem but rather an attempt to prevent it from leaking (why didn't you just put a seal where it would do the job right?). Where the motor penetrates the mixing/drinking cup, there is no seal. Liquid trickles into the area where the motor is and there are exposed wires. Since it's powered by 2AA batteries, it's not like anyone would get hurt, but it's not exactly best practices to have wet energized electrical devices. In the quantity that these are manufactured, the cost to correct this would be less than $0.01 and would probably be a cost savings to the manufacturer by putting a seal where needed and removing the two unnecessary ones.Be aware that you probably will have to clean and dry between uses internally around the motor. The batteries are under the slim black cover at the bottom and you just twist. The main base portion in silver can be opened by holding the metal base and the cup and twisting in opposite direction. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS so you don't break the wires going from the battery pack to the motor. If the seal that it should have at the motor penetration was there, I'd give this a 5 out of 5. As it is, I give it a two.
