Outstanding!
I NEVER write reviews. These are good chairs...solid wood, well manufactured, great packaging, good instruction, POOR finish. BUT you get GREAT solid wood well turned easily assemble well crafted seating!!! You can touch-up the finish. Buying more!!Update: okay, so I got ahead of myself and wrote the review before I completed assembly. Turns out they're not that EASILY assembled. Everything went great until I got to the last 4 bolts to attach the seat to the back. It couldn't be done, simply wasn't physically possible to line-up the seat holes to the leg. After reading reviews about difficult assembly I realized that the back legs ABSOLUTELY MUST be placed on the proper side. Yes, there's a specific side for those legs, they are not interchangeable, being identified as L or R might help OR you can look at the instructions closely. That little diagram that shows the leg with down arrow placed on the right side of the chair is important and exactly where it should be placed. I had mine reversed. Once I disassembled and switched sides, everything went together easily. They do get really scratched up during assembly as the finish is pretty lame but it's easily touched up and the chairs are nice for the price if you can persevere through assembly.

Beautiful Chairs, Pain in the Butt to Put Together
My husband and I love these chairs. They look beautiful and match our dining table perfectly (we have an old pub table that is hard to match so I was so pleased these chairs worked). The biggest flaw is that these chairs are really hard to put together. Other reviews were not kidding. I struggled and had to take multiple breaks on my own. When my husband and I tackled them together, it was easier so I would recommend building these with another person if you can. Also, the instructions that other reviewers left were a life saver. I highly recommend following those rather than the instructions that come with the chairs. I am reposting those instructions again here just to help get the info shared. Overall, we love the chairs and we are so happy with our purchase. We would recommend them but definitely make sure you have a buddy when putting together.1. Assemble small legs to seat base. Crank down tight. (I added a dab of wood glue at the joint)2. Install long legs to seat base. Tighten enough to allow just a little play. (Leg with arrow sticker was right rear for me - they are different so make sure to get them right)3. Install the metal straps to seat base, lower position on long leg & together. Tighten with the fewest threads to keep them from falling out. (You want maximum play)4. Sit on the seat and straddle the back. (sitting helps start to even out the legs) Install the wooden back piece (arrow sticker pointed down) & metal straps with the upper bolts on the long legs. Use the play, or even take out the lower strap bolt on the long leg, to get the back piece bolts started. This is the hardest part, but WAY easier then doing it their way. (All the bolts should now be in)5. Put the chair on a flat surface and have someone sit on the chair and wiggle a bit to get all 4 legs even. Crank down the bolts that hold the long legs to the seat base. (weighting the chair during final tightening it key to getting all 4 legs even on the ground)6. Sit and straddle the back again. Crank down the remaining bolts starting with the upper ones that hold the back piece.

Awesome chairs! Read review for alternative instructions!
As the other reviews, the instructions are horrific. Like just completely awful. The chairs on the other hand, are BEAUTIFUL. I bought my table and was hoping to find a chair to go with it and these are perfect. They are super comfortable and very sturdy. I am so very thankful for a previous review that explained alternative assembly directions. I am copying their instructions here because they are perfect. I assembled all 8 chairs like this and was done in no time!1. Very high quality and sturdy. Would fit in a vairety of decors
Comfortable enough to sit and chat for hours. Very attractive. Super sturdy. Not the easiest to put together, as you literally have to muscle the metal straps into place, but totally doable. very happy with these chairs!

Poor Construction
We were so excited when we first opened our new dining chairs, the wood finish was as expected and the chairs seemed to be fairly sturdy material. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed once we began putting the chairs together. The drill holes did not line up, the pieces didn’t fit together, we attempted to create new holes but the entire design would not allow the chair to be put together. Pretty upset with the time and effort that’s going to have to go into returning this item, not to mention the time it took to ‘put’ them together.

As pictured
Yes they are difficult to assemble. I did follow someone’s posted instructions and tried assembling a chair alone. Managed to with great difficulty (the last step very difficult). Way easier with two people. All pieces were beautifully finished (was skeptical after reading some reviews) and no damage. The colour is pretty dark a bit darker than expected but works well with my table. Overall great chair seems sturdy and comfortable.

Did not come with any instructions.
This package didn't come with any instructions. It had a lot of hardware, zero instructions, and there were marking all over the pieces that made the product look damaged. It also had some sort of shiny overspray that went from the edges into the seat surface. I am frustrated and not impressed at all.

Not as pictured
A google image search shows this style of chair offered on amazon and wayfair. Same product images. Chairs do not match. These ones have no varnish of any kind and feel rough compared to the ones on wayfair.

Disappointed
Missing pieces, hard to assemble and came with scratches that where crayoned in with black marker! Horrible service when called to fix the issues. Do not recommend.
