National Hardware S820-100 BB8182 Satin Nickel Rod in Nickel , 6' Long, 1-5/16" Diameter

I have installed about a dozen of these in my house so far. 5 years old and going and never had any problems with the finish delaminating. These rods have a thick wall of 2.0 mm. Be cautious of rods that are 1.5 mm. Can't take the same load and might sag with use. I have 6' long expanses with no center support and never a sag.My only complaint is I just ordered 11 more for a new house. EACH rod comes in its own box with its own shipping and tracking number. The first 6 arrived in 4" X 4" square boxes that could hold 4 or 6 rods, but only held one. The next 3 boxes were 5" X 8" and still only held one rod each. The least environmentally aware shipper I have ever dealt with. What a waste of shipping and cardboard to ship one rod per box. Regardless, I love the product.

It's a big sturdy rod. Great for hanging more weight in a closet if you or your better half like to buy lots of clothes. I used it to hang a curtain between my living room and mudroom and went with this over wood since it looks nicer and isn't hidden in a closet. I had to cut it down to fit the opening - cutting it is no joke but just takes patience. And a saw, obviously. It was a good purchase but in hindsight, since I was not using it to support a lot of weight I should have purchased the cheaper wooden one and spray painted it.

if you are perfectionist like me and want your closet to match, these are perfect for that. Shipped fast, well protected packaging and quality is outstanding. Walls of these tubes are thick and will not bend or brake, i tested them by hanging on them, i am 6'9" at 250 lbs and they did not even move. My wife loves our new modern closet and how all hooks, mounts and rods are matched in Satin nickel accents.

After the wire closet shelving collapsed for the third time I decided to build my wife a closet system which included incorporated some upscale finishes. My research found this closet rod. Upon receipt I found it to be considerably heaiver than expected and has a very nice finish. Hangers glide very easily on the rod and it cuts very easily with metal cutting blade on my table saw. I will ordering another identical rod shortly. Highly recommend.

Larger than a standard rod and weighs a considerable amount. I was surprised when I received this at how heavy it was. You could use this for much more than just closets and I'm fairly sure you could use it for pull ups if you really wanted.Buy the Stanley Home Designs 820167 Closet Flange Set in matching color for a solid installation.

I bought this for a closet pole- needed to cut to customized length. I wanted brushed nickel to match other poles in the closet- but the finish scratches off of this with you fingernail. I suppose it will look terrible after a few months of metal hangers on it. But for now- it will have to do as we discovered the problems with the finish after we cut it.

I ordered these to go with the Stanley brackets (V8186). They are quite thin and I didn't think they woukd hold the weight we needed. I ended up finding the Stanley rods I needed in our local big box store.

This product's finish is awful. Instead of a homogenous satin nickle finish, it has a inconsistent, hazy appearance. It was NOT dust, unfortunately. I was under great pressure to complete this project for my own home, so went ahead and made the cuts in November of 2014 shortly after delivery. The more I look at these, the more I wish I had instituted a return, but now it's too late. So what was to have been a long-awaited and planned redo of a crappy closet into a classy walk-in is permanently marred.
